When I first joined the BBC606 a couple of years ago, it was entirely with the ambition of having a bit of crack with some like minded Sunderland fans about a common love of our club.

It soon became apparent however that there was also a great opportunity to indulge my other great passion for piss taking and mag-bating, something I have enjoyed doing with mags for years here in Chester.

I log on in times of boredom at work, periods of crap TV on a night and like now, while the bairn has woken me up to come into my bed, as she has woken up in the middle of the night and now I can't get back to sleep. It's not the real world. It's not important in the bigger picture of things. It's a pastime. A hobby. Not an obsession.

It has become obvious though that for sometime for many posters on here, predominately barcodes it has to be said, it is everything in their lives. They even devote hours to wade through my old posts (things I have said purely to wind up and provoke reaction) as if this was a parliamentary hearing and legal proceedings were pending.

A sadder, more lonely and pathetic existence I can't imagine as I could never have either the inclination, desire or reason to trawl through anything a barcode has said to me, even from last week let alone last month or year.

As you know, I have a little pod of barcode bitches that are entirely obsessed with all things cestriamackem/ CestriaO'neill and devote their entire existence to my worship and, like all good loyal dogs, fight for their masters attention amongst themselves. They have even resorted to setting up user names in my honour to try and mimic me, a ploy so easily seen through as that particular poster lacked the basic education to even come close to me.

Flattered? No not at all. Pitied? They are to be really, as they seem to be the saddest people on earth. Encouraged? You bet your life they will be by me, as its a very amusing pastime knowing they hang on my every word and breath, and that I can play them like the well oiled wind up machine I am. Mag bating. It's a hoot.

Let's see how many barcode sprats I catch today. :D

The problem with Wumming and being a troll (albeit part time) is it gets repetitive and monotonous...

Some times, one becomes a target because of things that are said. This has happened to you. If I were inclined to ever catch someone out in a forum (I wouldn't, I am too lazy) I would bookmark pages I deem nuts. I guess what I am saying Cest, is some people gun for you because of what you say. Me? I find it funny. Others seem to be riled by it and forced into commenting.

It is just a forum though, no need to take it seriously!

But then again you seem like a very well balanced, articulate and intelligent bloke who sees this forum and my comments as they are truly intended.

You are alone amongst your brethren in this (maybe Cheik is a little smarter than average too mind)

    Rock and Roll folks. Lol

From a neutral perspective that's actually a very impressive fishing attempt. Well thought out.

A reasonably delivered antonymous message ... I won't comment on the accuracy of this fellow's rant, but I think its goal is plain to rumble.

Ok, thought you were referring to the bating and not the baiting in the OP.

It's all relative. Like being compared mentally to a Chip as opposed to an Orang-outang.

    Siddall and Cestria...

Two posters who I have a lot of respect for but are never going to see eye to eye with each other...
Why not just try avoiding each others posts to prevent the animosity eh...

But an Orangutan is a nearly extinct highly clever animal,as opposed to a Geordie chip, which offers very little to the planet.

    No....Why?

    Orang-outang
    n. 1. (Zool.) An arboreal anthropoid ape (Pongo pygmaeus, formerly Simia satyrus), which inhabits Borneo and Sumatra. Often called simply orang. It is now an endangered species.

    Pillock.
