Hi Woopert's! I said I would do a Match thread. As there is precious little happening on this page lets' have a bit of fun with this. Date 17th January 2016 Venue: Nou Camp Competition: La Liga Time: 2030 At the moment, Barcelona are 2nd and Athletic 6th. Both teams are in good form. When aren't Barca? Players to watch. Apart from the Holy Trinity (just learnt Suarez is suspended for this one), Barca may play their summer signing Turan and the Chilean. Bilbao also have good players including Laporte, the veteran Aduriz, the returning Munian and the very promising Inaki Williams. (I have told Paul Cook to sign this guy as he is soooo cool) If Bilbao are to have any chance they need to keep Messi quiet and keep better possession than in the final of the Copa del Rey last May.
What do you reckon Inaki Williams is worth in the transfer market, Ides ? Should be a good match to watch. Is it live on Spanish TV ?
He is miles better than Raheem Sterling, scoring goals has a good motor on him ....around 60m if Athletic are approached by one of Europe's big clubs like Bayern or Barca.
This is the big one in Europe this weekend. The mighty Barca take on Athletic Bilbao. A wonderful weekend would be for all the teams in the BBC Solent area to win and for Inaki Williams to get a couple of goals as Bilbao beat Barca. No Suarez this weekend as he incurred a suspension.
Hey Ides - just read on BBC Sport that both Arsenal and Liverpool are keen to sign Inaki Williams from Athletic Bilbao. Apparently he has a £15.3 million release clause.
I hope Bilbao can persuade Inaki to sing a new contract as his real value is around 60m. For Athletic he is priceless as they only recruit from Pais Vasco!!
Just read that Inaki has signed a contract extension with Bilbao, with an increased release clause of £38 million.
Good news. I do feel he will go but at least Athletic and not letting him go cheaply!! He is far better than Sterling!! Both are of a similar age. Well done on getting to the 4th Round. Now Pompey can really enjoy these games but it is the League that really matters. Do you think it will be automatic promotion or the play-offs,somethng that Pompey have only been involved in once?
Hoping for a top three finish. We seem to be 'clicking' at last, and playing some lovely football. Oxford Utd are the team to catch and overtake. I hope we can do it.
