Just watching Italy vs Germany and I dunno if it's just me but.... take the discipline issue out of the equation and look at his footballing talent and he's starting to look a lot like Drogba, same determination and getting close to the same power and skill. Doesn't bode well for us as domestic rivals but let's just hope he goes back to playing the same for City as he usually does ;)

He has at all. Power, Pace, Dribbling Ability, intelligence. All up to him how he uses it but I genuinely feel he has the potential to be 2nd only to Messi.

I really hope him and Agüero are City's regular strikers next season. A non-crazy Balotelli would be a like a new signing, and he could get 20+ goals easily

I read an article a few days ago that compared him to Gazza in terms of ability mixed with being a bit crazy!

Given his age, if he can get his head screwed on and start playing more regularly like he did tonight he'll be a far better player than Gazza. Drogba is a good comparison and he can surpass Drogba's achievements if he matures.

All depends on him, without sounding cliché as ****, he can be anything as good as he wants if he puts his mind to it.

Even though I was very impressed with Balotelli's contribution for Italy against Germany. Balotelli is too inconsistent to get anywhere near Drogba's level. Also he is a hot head that is his flaw which is a big distraction for any team. He could do great in a match but then makes a bad mistake which costs the team. That is his downfall.

Thing is Juan, Balotelli is 21. He has a lot of time to get rid of his hot head, people forget he is still basically just a kid in the terms of his still at the age for messing about etc, as he gets older he will mature. The talent he is showing at times already is amazing and he still has another good 10 years

Gazza never calmed now. It is ego not youthful high spirits. Usually when confronted with proof that they are not perfection in human form, egoists either become delusional or crack up as Gazza did. I guess with Balotelli we need a couple more years to find out if he lacks maturity or is just blithely full of himself.

He's a talented dipstick. His ego and lack of sense will destroy his career unless someone with a lot more grunt than the current City manager gets hold of him.

He is a good player and still young enough to get even better; he is a long way off being Drogba though I can understand the early comparisons.

However the age thing can be used as an excuse too. There are plenty of young top class professionals out there without the baggage and I just think he'll always have problems where ever he goes, even as he gets older. I don't see Ozil (who is a far better technical player) strutting around like he does for instance.

    Never in a million years.

9 times out of 10 hes likely to cost you the game, get sent off and miss the next 3. 1 good display against Germany counts for **** all as he was shocking for other games during the Euros.

Players like him never succeed to the very highest level. There own personal inadequacies prevent it. Talent only gets you so far and can easily be wasted.

Ibrahimovic is the sort of player balotelli will become, massively overrated and living off one or 2 great games in his career.

Istanbul 2005. Elements of cheating and possibly the most luck ever seen in a single game of football. Also care to explain why Liverpool have been disgracing football, not just English football since 1990?
