I was one but a word of caution, we haven't qualified for anything yet, We have been this close in the past and then failed miserably at the last hurdle. When/if we qualify in at least first or second in this group then hats off to him for the job he has/will do. As it stands all he has done is won a few games.
I agree with that. Don't like Coleman but we have a good team and we're getting results so if it ain't broke..... Giggs was hamstrung in playing for Wales by his manager whom he worshipped. He could have played for England remember. But Bale is something else and is a class above Giggs. But we have Allen, Ramsey and others who are playing at a high level and that makes a difference.
Bale's the new 'great' on the block and although currently brilliant we can't judge him as a footballing great yet as he's still building his career. Will he, wont he be a footballing great?, probably will but as yet we simply don't know. Giggs has to be the greatest player Wales NEVER had. I recall him crying off Wales duty on many many occassions whether through injury or from the over bareing influence of SAF. He picked his games and didn't have any where near the commitment to the cause that Bale has. Giggs is a footballing great and Man Utd legend who just happens to be Welsh. To Bales credit he's keen to play for Wales and so, imo, is a dead cert to be true Welsh legend when he retires but until then John Charles carries the torch for all to follow.
I hope Bale doesn't end up at Man Utd, I can see Giggs trying to convince him that Wales is not important.
