According to a report in today's Mirror, Mercenary City have made what are called "discreet enquiries" about our Gareth, and been quoted £150mm as the price. I doubt that even they would be dumb enough to pay that, but it would be tempting.
That'd pay off a massive chunk of the stadium, wouldn't it? I think that Levy will be tempted to sell some important players in the summer. Funding problems would become a thing of the past.
I rather suspect that that price-tag has been slapped on him in order to deter any would-b chancers and to avoid the fiasco we suffered over Moddy, last Summer. Levy's effectively saying, "Yes, he is for sale, but only t £150 million. Now, we both know that you cannot afford to pay that price, so just fcuk off now and leave us in peace to try and win the title."
