Very pleased with what I saw, we were great.

I've seen the Toure goal again on the tele and my word what a strike, unbelievable. Just wish we'd held on long enough to steady the ship after their first goal, Nasri could try and score that goal another 50 times and he couldn't

Only thing that I was disappointing was Fletcher, he played ok and battled very well to win the balls that came up to him, but he had an amazing chance to equalise for us, that was our chance to get back into the game and his eagerness to bring the ball onto his left foot is so frustrating, even if he didn't fancy shooting he could have just laid it across the box for Brown to tap in and take the game to ET.

Anyway, not good to dwell on things, take the performance from today and transform it into the league, treat all of our games as cup finals and win the fa cup to make up for losing today :D

Thought Fletch done OK when he came on, I would have went the other way and brought on Sccoco instead with his and Borini pace might have stopped the full backs pushing on.

I always acknowledge the lads that go to games as having a better opinion, so do you think Fletcher's a 12 million pound player then?

Based on the first half of last season yes, but since then no way.

A decent player, but not a 12m player if we're being honest. I don't think MoN had anyone else lined up so was desperate to land him which is what drove his price up, now we seem to be more prepared in terms of transfers so hopefully the days of overspending on the likes of Fletcher are over. (No disrespect to Fletcher)

Also I think Gus got it wrong by taking off Johnson for Gardner, can understand why he did, but I think Johnson should have stayed on

I was actually impressed with Larsson for the first time in ages. I'd have put giacc on earlier, personally, and maybe Scocco before an unfit Fletch, but what do I know? Gus got the tactics spot on and it was only some world class stuff that did for us.

<ok>

Yeah Gus got his starting team and tactics spot on today, had Yaya Toure not produced probably the best goal I've ever seen in person we would have won the game. Colback played LM to track Zabaleta and that worked brilliantly

His subs are normally great, but like you I would have put Giacc on earlier and I'd have kept Johnson on

Hi PE. Can you just explain 1 thing? Why did he take Johnston off?

I didn't get that at all.

If we were ever gonna back into it, we needed players like Johno.

I was also also unsure about Larsson, but he had a great first half, so fair okay to him.

I guess he felt we needed more bite in midfield which is fair enough I suppose as we had lost the grip we had on the game in the first half, Gardner didn't really give us that though.

Could have done with Johnsons delivery towards the end imo, but taking him off was probably the only thing Poyet did wrong today

Gus only did 2 things wrong today. Started with Larsson, and take Johno off. BUT at the same time, he got us there.

And against arguably the best team in the UK today, we did ourselves proud!!

Fletch must pull on in training to impress cos I struggle to see owt, SO slow, and one footed…who on here (or anywhere) would pay £12 Milllion for him?
Wish it was Phillips or Bridges. Rest of our lads did us proud tho , KIF x

Larrson was as good as KI, he covered a lot of ground. KI was bit of a let down again for me, was a bit sloppy in play.

They we're awesome today VJ. A guy in my local was down in North London early this morning and said that everywhere he went was awash with red and white draped fans. Never seen any anything like it. And guess what .... he's a City fan.

That Fletcher chance is playing on my mind, I can only imagine how bad he's feeling, he just had to use his right foot and we'd have gone to extra time!!!
