    - First half they were absolutely superb. We couldn't cope at all. They sprayed the ball around, ran us absolutely ragged! Passed it quickly, movement galore, absolutely delighted we were still in the game at half time! Anderson's corners were fantastic, Bournemouth very poor at defending them. Dids + Murphy did win some headers, but we were out of ideas. Couldn't get going. Hats off to their first goal, looked a terrific finish.

    - Second half - better from us. Closed Bournemouth down a little better, kept the ball and a little more positive with it. Hyam SHOULD have taken one for the team and got a yellow for their second goal. How the hell a cross by Mings from the left wing ON THE FLOOR can find Bishop 6 yards out or so is beyond me. Shocking defending! I wasn't surprised an Anderson set piece resulted in a goal ( superb header as the ball was behind him )

    - Did we deserve anything? Possibly not, they dominated large spells. However, our sheer hard work/ grit, going behind twice and getting something shows great desire. Had Bournemouth not scored so early we may have grown into the game more so.

    - Mings is definitely not worth anywhere near £10 mill! No way in hell!

    - The referee got so much wrong for both teams it was hilarious! I thought it looked a pen for Bournemouth, need to see it again. Also, they should have had a player sent off for a kick on parr I think from behind. Stone wall red. He got a booking, so how can it be yellow for a kick from behind not playing the ball? He lashed out and the ref bottled it like he did everything all game.

    10 points from 12. COYB!!!!!

Many thanks Westy! Exactly how it sounded on steam radio! Exciting match, lucky for town to stay in it, fine set pieces, bloody hard grit, brilliant point to take back home! I watched highlights of a Cherries game weeks ago, and envied their fast pace skilled footie and wtf, said to self, how can we live with that!

We did...and unbeaten in what 12 now? I dunno but why oh why did MM change things around, swop Skuse for Tabb etc? How did Skuse play? Sounded crap at times. Hyam?

I do admire MM and what he has done, but imo poor decision to take off Tabby who is in fine run of form, found his ideal position and you dont play around too much with a winning team! But I wasnt there.........thoughts please?

I agree with pretty much everything westy. From where i was sitting, Bournemouth taught us a footballing lesson in how to pass and move and how to keep ball. First half we were so non-existant it was untrue. Mings was dire, Skuse totally ineffective, but saying that, no one did themselves any justice. But, at 1-0, we was always going to come back. If there forward Wilson stayed on the pitch, then i think we wouldn't lost as we couldn't handle their pace. Chambers is nnot a right back, and should never play there. If Bournemouth can add some steel to their team, they could definitely be aaforce in this league, they were great to each. In fact, if you could fuse Bournemouth and Ipswich together, you could have the perfect team (for this division).

Assume Wilson was 13? He was superb.

Skuse wasn't fantastic but the entire midfield couldn't cope with Bournemouth at all. None of them got near them! I thought Hyam struggled also.

I thought Tabb was very hard done by not playing, he was fantastic v Watfford.

Please let's not be fooled by all this media hype around Bournemouth and about Howe being a great manager blah blah! His team cost millions to put together just look at some of the players he had on the park yesterday! Like Mick says the spotlight isn't on us because we aren't fancied despite our lofty position in the league and yet we have a team that cost us £10k in transfer fees! Eddie Howe is a whinging moaning little prick as far as I'm concerned after his post match comments yesterday. When he gets to the age of shaving perhaps he might behave more like an adult as opposed to the spoilt little brat that he is at the moment.

What exactly has Howe said to upset anyone? As far as I am concerned, it was a penalty!

They have spent a decent amount of dosh Warkie, but they are a class above us for sure.

That was no way a penalty and I have seen it numerous times in slow motion I thought the referee got it spot on. I just think that Howe is a fooking little moaner and has the sort of face I'd love to punch in!

And of course they should be a class above us considering all the money they've spent...Jeez!! <doh>

Crikey Warkie I am aware they should be a level above us with what you've spent, not quite sure the point you're trying to raise here ?

Going by you're argument it's easy with £££££ - try telling Magilton/ Keane and Jewell that - as we should have been a class above most but weren't.............. He's spent the ££££ well fair play to Howe.

Level above us...my arse........one point separates the two teams........as I've said before many many times I'd rather have a player with desire and commitment than one with a a large price tag and chip on the shoulder.....

We always get these flash in the pan teams that come along from nowhere and their fans start giving it the big un when they start getting a little bit of success. If you don't believe me just look up the road for a prime example! The Bournemouth fans are all suffering from nosebleeds due to the altitude!

Hey guys, the fact is from all reports I have read or listened to - as well as Suffolk radio, they outplayed us 1st half - end of. So get over it! Big money or no, it is one team against another. Credit where its due - and big credit to Ipswich for staying in the game and nicking a point. I am not surprised they are riding high, lets see how they manage the distance.

Good summary Westy. That's pretty much how I viewed the match too. Disjointed first half from us with the ball, it just wouldn't run for us and we couldn't handle Bournemouth's movement. Second half we got in their faces a bit and disrupted their flow.
We deserved a point from this game because we never gave up and we always have the ability to score. We're probably averaging just under two goals per game this season.

Thanks for the comments didn't get time to watch or listen yesterday.

I'm pretty dissapointed Skuse came in for Tabb who I thought was superb in the holding role in recent weeks, he's showed he knows when to balance sitting and then upping the tempo. No doubting Skuse is a talented player probably our most talented except for Bish but what's the point of having that talent if you're not going to use it, he is honestly the most frustrating player I have ever seen in a town shirt!!! Whenever he seems to play we don't seem to get any rythm in midfield at all, I mean seriously go back to all the games he's missed in about the past year and we play so much better and more balanced when he's not in the team.

Fair play in digging something out against a good team though, good result, as I said just a shame Tabb was dropped for the managers favourite Skuse who puts in so many abject performances

The issue I guess with Tabb / Hyam, is can you play them together? Do we need two stoppers per say? Skuse is a different kind of player, so it's either going to be Tabb or Hyam with Skuse I guess as to them both.

Likewise, it's going to be Bru or Bishop I'd imagine.

With Ambrose appearing unable to get going, and Collison towards the write off stage, we have competition in most areas apart from Mr Cole Skuse. Definitely need another option here........

I think although in a 442 Hyam and Tabb might not be the best, I think they could at least look half decent as although both are workers and perhaps a bit more defensively minded neither are negative in their play. Both Hyam and Tabb could quite comfortably play in Skuse's position. For me in a midfield 3 you need a minimum of 1 out of Hyam, Skuse and Tabb then the others are okay to be filled by whoever, although a midfield of those 3 I don't think would be great. I think Tabb and Hyam could look far more effective than Skuse could with anyone at the moment

If Skuse continues in this manner by not show any intent in his play or urgency then he won't be able to play with anyone in midfield. When he is in the team we seem to attack as individuals, we look very disjointed and when he isn't we seem to attack far more as a team. The last midfielder I remember that completely destroys the balance of our midfield was Norris.

Off the ball I generally have no problems with Skuse, although he does tend to dive in from time to time and he has talent as a player but by god he needs some sort of intensity to his game
