Kunt Comm strikes again, with yet another thread people can't answer correctly.

    Shameless thread,

I'm like Donald Trump and Boris rolled onto one for shamelessness.

    autism
    /ˈɔːtɪz(ə)m/

    noun
    1. a developmental disorder of variable severity that is characterized by difficulty in social interaction and communication and by restricted or repetitive patterns of thought and behaviour.
That’s the general explanation of what it is. The severity of this condition opens a person up to so many other conditions that’s why it is difficult to define the whole aspect of Autism in a few words.

    Ok try this....

Imagine your right hand, being like the right section of a brain. If someone cut off your right hand, you'd learn to perform better with your left, if only at the very least to have a ****.

    Glad to help, and goodnight.

To be honest I thought this thread title was another of your typos and you were going to tell us how you had taken up painting now.

Well I haven’t studied it to any academic level but I have enough life experience to see someone’s behaviour and think...maybe they are on the spectrum due to having picked up knowledge about the condition throughout life through many sources, people, TV, books etc like most people do.

I don’t know every single Autistic condition out there but I understand what kind of thing comes under the Spectrum...I could be wrong but I think I get it.

My nephew suffers quite badly so although I'm not expert this is how I understand it...

The autism spectrum I believe covers a variety of conditions from Aspergers to things like tourettes and is considered a learning disability rather than a MH condition.

A lot of the people on the spectrum can suffer socially as they're very particular in the way they act/behave and only take things very literally (without context), struggling to adapt to different or evolving situations.

My nephew really struggles if thrown out of his routine or into a situation which he wasn't expecting, even if it's not a bad one.

My sister couldn't just take him to a supermarket on the whim for example while driving back from somewhere else. He needs to know that that's where he's going beforehand and for anywhere with crowds she needs to prepare him.

Sufferers can also struggle with loud noises and large crowds and will have certain noises that are trigger points for them personally I believe. All senses too not just hearing, but smell taste etc.

I'm sure there's someone better informed than me so happy to be corrected on any of that but that's my very basic understanding of it.

Basically theres a fine line between austism and being a ****.

like Is trump a **** or autistic as he cant socially interact?

Tbh i think there are too many labels nowadaysm. Obviously there is the ones you can tell straight away but every ****ers got a mental problem.

Like my boss has given me extra work im im stres so now im mentally ill (not applicable to thise doing OT all the time like the nhs) or ive spent all my money buying designer goods and have money problems im now depressed and mentally ill
