So, our defence has been pretty awesome this season. Since Steve Clarke arrived our defence has become a lot more solid. Players who were being written off for defensive skills like Skrtel and Johnson have improve greatly and the whole defensive side of our team has seen the benefits. Clarke was also coaching Chelsea during Mourinho's era when they broke the record for the most consecutive clean sheets in Premier League history. This make me think, what could the right striker/ attacking coach do for our team, mainly players like Carroll and Downing, and the goal scoring record of Suarez. An obvious name that comes to mind is Robbie Fowler, but he is yet to gain coaching experience. Ian Rush has done a similar role in recent years but has moved onto other jobs now. But, like Clarke, they do not need to be connected to the club to be a success. I have thought Alan Shearer could work wonder for Carroll, but I dont think he would take the job as he seems to enjoy being on TV.
Not saying that that is not a good idea but look up who Shearer thanks for making him into one of the best strikers around during his time... ...that's right, a certain Sir Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish!
I would like to see how Rodolfo Borrell would work with the first team - I think he has been very good for the youth team and is now working with the reserves. He seems to have the right philosophies on football i.e. pass, move, quick thinking, technique etc
The original method of success for LFC staff was promote from with in. Paisley, ***an, Dalglish, Souness, Evans all rose through the ranks, some players, other coaches, some both. It helped keep the LFC way intact.
