was just about to post the same thing. So, Zaha on one side, Noone on the other and Jones on the penalty spot waiting for the supply chain. 442 or 4411? Are we strong enough in midfireld to play with 4 across the middle?
With Noone and Zaha left and right, we'd be hard pushed to hold down the middle of the park playing Campbell and Jones as the two up top. It would leave Medel and just one other in front of the back four - who the hell would that be? Would love to see it, and we might get the jck scenario of just going out to score more than the other side - I'm looking forward to some 6-5 wins....
More likely that we'll play 3 in the middle of the park with one given the role of getting past Jones whenever possible. Play Bellamy in there or drop FC a bit deeper? Whatever we do, we need to start scoring some goals. It was in the final third we struggled on Tuesday. Up to the last 20 yards we looked good but lacked ideas beyond that.
Going to be an interesting team selection tomorrow. Who will be in, who will be out, which of those, if any (and I don't expect any), will throw Teddy from the pram? Might we now get a penalty? Surely Wilf has learned some tricks from his time at Man U?
I cannot see Faz being dropped, as he has done little wrong on limited service and he is also very good in the air, Jones up front with him should make a big difference.
OK isawron - I'll go with that for this home tie with Norwich - now give me your midfield 4. Not so easy then if you include Noone and Zaha out wide as two of them is it mate.
I wonder if we'll regularly see Noone and Zaha on at the same time. It might be one plus Bellamy. Similalry, FC OR jones, unless we're chasing a game. Assuming Medel and Mutch plus one in the middle of the park, do you let Mutch get in support of the striker or play Bellamy in the attacking CM role (sorry, repeateg what I've said elsewhere). I've said that we have a more ballanced squad now. We do need to get balance in the 11 on the park and compliment that with what we bring off the bench which should be more than we've been able to up to now.
