Should we allow asylum seekers into the Uk?
If yes, should we limit the numbers, should we allow only certain Nationalities in.
If no, where should they go ?

Those flying in at the moment have been in refugee camps for a number of years, are usually family groupings and have been properly "vetted", whatever that means and entails.

To me, that's doing it properly and in a structured way. I don't have a problem with that at all. We should help those GENUINELY in distress. It defines our maturity as a nation state.

And we certainly don't need any lectures from our european "friends" on what and how we should be dealing with this. We've been doing it for years without their bloody help!

That will cost money and it will be Theresa May spending it. <yikes>

    Back to the OP

For the moment I'd close the boarders to all asylum seekers until things settle(next month, a years time, how ever long it takes) then just go back to the original numbers we've all ready pledged to take. Folk may think that's harsh but the safety of innocents on these shores have to take priority over the safety of innocents on other shores as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not terribly educated on this subject but I don't understand why countries like Dubai and its surrounding countries don't take the majority, there is a shed load of open space in Dubai which could house hundreds of thousands of refugees and the added bonus that it is close to these countries the refugees are fleeing from.

We take a huge amount in anyway, regardless mate.

16m asylum cases were lodged last year in the world and 8m+ of them were from Syria, Afghanistan, Somalia, and Sudan.

Britain received 32,000 applications last year and accepted roughly 40% of them.

Then you have some appeals, from the other 58% - a huge drain on finances, some cases run into hundreds of thousands of pounds in costs.

Germany on the other hand face hundreds of thousands of applications each year, we don't have it as bad as them.

Our main problem comes from EU nationals who are free to enter this country without restriction.

    Absolutely.. <ok>

As for the OP, this makes you sit up and listen. Not trying to be controversial here but I have been reading a lot lately about Sweden's immigration & crime problems.

Big Funk, the correct word is BORDER, not "boarder".
Why not transport all of these asylum seekers to somewhere in North Africa, or some remote island, the same way the Australians do with Xmas Island, then process them and give them basic training to go back and fight Isis in their own country.
We don't want them, they don't integrate, they want to be with their own kind, so bringing them to Europe can only end in massive problems for everyone concerned.

She's a naturist FFS, that should have given them some indication that she was a fanny with no spine, tree hugging slut bucket.

Bonjour mon ami, how are you today?

Trying my best not to immerse myself in too much hate today, it's Friday and I want to look forward to the weekend, but I skimmed the article and it looks like a roundabout way of assessing something that has a very blatant answer, it's just we're not allowed to write it so bluntly nowadays.

Not to bad mate, the usual 24/7 stuff but got an extra pair of hands to help today. Keeping my nose clean also from now on, didn't realise just how screwed my head was at the moment..

There's some pretty heavy stuff to be found on the internet about the problems in Sweden and what's going over the border into Norway. Anyway, I'm off so have a great weekend all..<ok>
