WHAT PATH WILL ASHLEY TAKE THIS SUMMER????

I personally hate the bloke and still am very bitter how most fans seem to let him get away with murder.
The way he has ruined the club single handed makes me sick,we have gone from a top 10 club to a club who is happy just to survive.

In january we could with a few extra additions and fixed our dire cover upfront we could have aimed for europe [sounds odd ]but look at the silly points we have dropped since due to missed chances.
But no instead of adding he sold our key man[i know he has been injured[and never replaced him leaving us like a car going down a hill with out any breaks IN REAL DANGER.
I hate and don't rate Pardew his new yes man,who i thing is tactically inept, nor I believe a word he says.

So this is my view Ashley has got this summer to chance my views and back him at the club with his yes man.

Firstly our goal is to build on our squad so the thought of selling our gems is a no no the likes of Barton,Nolan,Jose need to be given new worth while deals so we can plan the next 5 years around them.
If he had not got 35 mill for AC or all the other money from milner sales i could understand balancing the books but we dont need to sell.

We need to sign 5 or six players 2 or threejust for back up ie Larsson and Elmander for example both on free transfers then look at a few real gems a top forward to replace ac some extra quaility in midfield and defence, cover for jose.

Having arfa and gosling will be like 2 new signings.
This might sound pie in the sky but thats wot Ashley promised all the money from ac to go on the squad.
How many Tiote style signings can we get from 35 mill plus ??

I hate the fact we sold Ac like I did when we sold Cole but lets hope the club will benefit like we did back then.

I believe if we stay up this season we should aim for top 10 finish next year.

So to sum this long winded rant will Ashley come up with the goods??? and allow us to be proud of our amazing and lets us move forward or will he do want he does best sell jose and barton our only real hopes of staying and replace them will the likes of konchesky and Reo Coker and watch us go down ???

I think it will be the latter and if so please guys lets not let him get away with it and hit him were it hurts his pockets and boycott sjp or if i am wrong lets give him our support

Not sure at all what will happen, no one can be. All we can do is sit & wait...

As for Ben Ara & Gosling definitely agree they'll be like 2 new signings!

I personally think Pardew is a good manager, and certainly not 'tactically inept'.

As for Ashley, we could do worse for an owner.

I do agree we need a few top signings in the summer, and some strength in depth as well.

IMO pardews no world beater but is at least intelligent unlike most managers these days
I don't really have a problem with Ashley at the moment, he's set the club up so it's financially secure before we look towards Europe

I think at the end of the day as much as we'd all want to decide who the club buys/sells/gives contracts to it's ultimately out of our hands so we will have to wait and see. Doesn't mean there won't be speculation and lengthy debates on here and other forums tho! Agree with the original post that this summer is a very important time for NUFC....

2010, I unnderstand where you are coming from in what you are saying but qt the end of the day, if I player wants to leave, it leaves the club with very limited options. I don't know who I believe with the whole Carroll saga. The word is that he wanted Newcastle to match the wage offer that Liverpool put on e table, which is a ridiculous request considering he had only just signed a new 5 year deal. If this is the case then nor Ashley or parses can be blamed for selling him. It's the same with enrique. I didn't want Carroll to leave, and I certainly dont want Enrique to go but at the end of the day, if a player wants to go, it's best all round if he goes.

I believe he has no other choice than to come up with the goods, ticket sales will falter if there's no investment, and if we can push up the table while increasing the depth of our squad, then the price will rocket too.

    BOYCOTT THE CLUB?? what

We support the player and the club not the owner, i'm not going to abandon football just because of 1 man.

My mate reckons he will get as much as he can for a few more of our key players and flog the club, say 15 mil for Enrique and 20 mil for Tiote.

I think thats a very pessimistic take on things but, when I thought about it the players we have bought have been bargains or cheap (players with potential to be sold on for more)

Theres been no stable investment and no effort to find a top manager... plus the 3 year season ticket price freeze so he gets all the ticket money up front before he bolts... does make a bit of sense.

I've learned never to be too optimistic when it comes to Mike Ashley, if we get through the summer with some new players added to the books and we keep most of our best ones I might start to change my view.

Remember this is MIKE ASHLEY at the end of the day.

Like it or not, we have to stick with pardew, it's consistency this club is screaming out for. He is in, he has to stay in for a few year, chopping and changing managers was one of the reasons we got in the mess we did in the first place.

If he sells our best players the club loses a lot of value, probably more so than the income from the sales.

I'm not going to lie, I'm hugely worried about this summer. I can see Enrique, Barton and a couple of others leaving and us getting in some League 1/Championship standard strikers and midfielders near the end. Hope I'm wrong, obviously.

It also makes the overall value of the club cheaper so they might not be put off, I'm sure someone would rather pay say 150 million than 200 million outright.
