OK so I know the Russian's are awash with gas & oil money & apart from Citeh not many in Europe could probably compete with them on wages. China seem to be offering massive lucra too but that said why are guys who are already millionaires lured over there? Does it really make that much difference? Honestly can't see Chelsea letting him go, he is arguably, if not the best, certainly one of the best left backs in the world. Who would they get to replace him?
He only has a year left on his contract. He's pissed off cos they only offered him one year. Will Chelsea offer him the 2-3 years he wants or let him go for nowt at the end of the season? Who knows but with the Russian transfer window still open, if he doesn't sign I can see them cashing in.
Mental if they let him go, he's the best left back in the world and should have a 5 year contract stuck under his nose to finish his career at the club. 32 year old is **** all these days for a footballer, he will have another 3 years yet while still being at the very top of his game.

LOl - our owner is a billionaire - where would we be without him. We are doing the same on a smaller scale, I rest my care. It's no different to us, the only difference is they have more money.
