Saw the following article earlier suggesting that Chris Coleman has decided to make some changes beginning with installing our very own Ashley Williams as Welsh captain.

If true hopefully this will take the pressure off Ramsey because he has been pants lately and also make Ash step up to the plate because he as we all know has been poor lately too.

Just wondering what everyone thinks if this is true, yes even you Bluebirds out there too.

personally I'd rather have seen him rested for the next international ,we have as much chance of qualifying as the Faroe isles so a pointless exercise

Agree with Bony. He's been **** for us recently, so maybe a week off wouldn't hurt. Faroe islands have more of a chance than we do lol.

Given that he's possibly out for us on Saturday I'd like to see him rested

i'd like to see him rested for the same reasons as above, however giving him the Wales captaincy by prove to be a little boost for him, to bring him back on form...

confirmed, agree with chico, maybe it would be worth it if williams was playing out of his skin but he isnt, far from it as you guys will know better than me.

we've just tumbled down the rankings by 12 places. nothing against coleman personally but i still remember dragonphil saw this coming from day 1. the only thing is who would be the replacement, thats what we should be asking ourselves. the current set up is amatuerish and is taking us backwards fast.........

'"I think he has felt the pressure of it," insisted manager Coleman.'

say that in private you pillock, what a poor way to treat an important player of the team....

yes, i imagine thats one player he has alienated.

a typical panic decision which will only have negative effects..... anyone notice from the moment he walked in that he seemed intent on 'doing things my way'....... if it aint broke dont fix it, one of the reasons swansea have been successful is the managers have been canny enough to realise there is a winning formula already in place which does not need to be changed..... thats the mentality coleman needed to adopt but he has too much of an ego to do that....

Seen it now confirmed on Sky, well on his head be it.
I just hope it allows Ramsey to relax a bit and get back to his best.

Ramsey did OK under Speed. The problem is the manager - changing the captain won't solve that.

Congratulations to Ash! But does the club or him really need this additional burden. It is likely that he is now going to feel more pressure to play when perhaps he should be resting. Not good for him, the Club or Wales.

never rated him as captain for the swans, makes to many bad decisions so why wales captain especially on this seasons form is a baffling choice by coleman....

Did we have any chance of qualifying before the campaign started? If Wales finish 4th then thats a good result for us!

I think he has blown his chance of that valley.....Its common knowledge down the liberty that liverpool were interested in him but he cant go there until next season anyway.....I think they will go elsewhere looking at his performances so far this season...I dont know whether thats why he has lost form or not but i dont buy his excuse he is using to justify his game. we have doctors and physios that would put him on the injured list if he was not fit enough. they all go through a fitness test before a game where they are passed fit or not...

If Ashley Williams is reading this, well done son.
What an honour, what every youngster dreams about when they're having a kick about.
