I struggle to believe any story linking HR with Saints is taken with any credence - what absolute rubbish.

Now, the Rafa Benitez rumour is one that could have arms and legs - and if we are precarious after another 4-5 games this could be a good call...

Yes there are loads of things ,but they bare no relation to the team as such , I love them as they represent my identity as I have not lived there for years , thats what I love , the players come and go and most could not give two ****es about the club so why should I care for them ? The City , the team and the pride I care for most , not the result it the way we play hence me being pretty upset so far this year , individual errors have costs us in every game .
These mistakes have not been rectified and in fact they are getting worse .

Most of the fans on here giving me loads are as angry as me but fail to see that and I am a great target for their frustration , thats cool I am not arsed in the slightest but they have to be honest and see where we are at .

You weren't the one to break the news about Davis or the kit and the transfer window is just your opinion. Redknapp is staying in Poole and if he wants a job on his doorstep, he'll take the Bournemouth job. He's an unpaid "advisor" and it's only a matter of time before they offer him a proper job. You're not in the know and this won't happen.

I don't know, he will automatically have the shortest odds if any manager in the Premiership is sacked. With Harry in second and Guardiola, Curbishley and Hoddle making up the top five. So wouldn't make too much out of that. Anyway if you ask me Nigel's job is as safe as any other Prem manager.

Fair enough mate, I know you are a passionate Saint, but you have to admit (if you step back a bit) that the club have moved on in leaps and bounds since the dregs of the Lowe years, administration and League One. If someone had told me in May 2009 that we would be in the Premier League and signing players for £12,000,000 I would've said that they had a screw loose. I believe that your criticisms of the way that we are being run and managed this season are wrong but I respect your right to express them as long as you fully support the team on a Saturday. Nobody wants to make mistakes and all players make them and I trust the management to make the right calls to rectify them in the coming games....Cheer up mate, the worst case scenario is a return to the Championship much richer and with a stronger squad than 2009.

He's only at Bournemouth in an advisory role that he can do from home, it's hardly a full time job that he'd have trouble leaving.

They care about the game of football and the betterment of it. They play for themselves and for the team. when a player pulls on the strip, he represents the club and gives a **** about it. The players who really don't give a **** are the ones with little professional pride and there aren't many of them playing at the top because they tend not to follow through on their potential by not working hard enough and having bad attitudes. You don't have to care for them, but the players do care for and take pride in what they do. They come from all over the world and earn lots of money, but they are still top professionals and fully comitted to the cause.

Berbatov , Owen , Rooney and Tevez have all held clubs to ransom over periods of their careers whilst they were at the very top , I am sorry the modern footballer in the main could not give a ****e about their club , Owen said as much when asked why he has signed for United when he was a Liverpool player .

Owen put aside petty rivalries and more people should do the same. Then perhaps we wouldn't hear the sick chants displayed by both fans in relation to Munich & Hillsborough.

Exactly. I roll my eyes whenever someone talks about how much they "hate" Portsmouth - it's a rivalry, not a ****ing blood feud - good for piss taking and banter, but seriously, people need to get reasonable.

So you agree there should be no loyalty ? Singing disgraceful songs has nothing to do with what I am implying at all .

No one could seriously blame Owen for going to ManU when his career was on the slide. I couldn't believe his luck in getting that move. Loyalty is giving your best at all times and seeing out your contract or at least agreeing a deal that's good for all parties. It's great that players like Lallana and le Tissier stayed with Saints, but it is a short career to make serious errors of judgement. If we get relegated, I would admire the best players if they stayed to try and get us back up, but couldn't blame them if they wanted a move after one season back in the Championship.

I'm pretty confident Owen never went from Liverpool to Man Utd.
He left for Madrid and the opportunity to experience another culture & league.
It didn't work out at Newcastle because of one thing or another and united offered him a squad role. He clearly is not physically up to playing every week but would you turn down the chance of joining a squad of serious challengers for the league & Europe just because you played for a rival?

Like Fran says its a short career and in refused to sign for united it shows it's ok to fans to hate another side.

I responded to your post a couple of weeks ago with the comment that it will never happen, and it won't. Ever. So give it up.

Why not go the whole hog and appoint the HMRC Management Dream Team..?

    We could have:

'Arry as coach (but not tactician, obviously)
    Terry Venables as Club Treasurer
Peter Risdale in charge of player contract negotiations
    and Ken Bates as Chairman

    Who needs parachute payments anyway?!!

    Cheers
