    Our midfield is good enough.

    1. Wilshere - The best young English talent since Paul Scholes first emerged. He's already our best midfielder. I dont think alot of Arsenal fans realise quite how good he is.
    2. Chamberalin. His natural position is in the middle and as he showed against Milan he has all the ability to be 'World Class'.
    3. Rosicky. Finally found his old form and has arguably been our second best player this Season. Mobile, hardworking and skillful - If he added goals he would be amongst the best.
    4. Arteta - Good range of passing and i see him moving into more of a Pirlo type role as he gets older. He's dependable and experienced.
    5. Song - I dont think there is another midfielder in the league that works as hard as Song. Great range of passing and never stops running and closing down the opposition. Has the odd poor game but is as good as ANY defensive midfielder in the league.
    6. Diaby- When fit he gives us something different - Tall, quick and aggressive Diaby has the ability to change a game.
    7. Ramsey/Frimpong/Coquelin - A back up of three young players with great potential.

If the rumours are true Podolski and Vertonghen could be coming and both are EXACTLY what we need.

    1. Podolski can play upfront or on the left. Aggressive, hardworking and quick. The guy can win you games on his own (got 20 goals this Season from the left of a front three)
    2. Vertonghen. Tall, quick, skillful and great in the air. Finally a top class defensive partner for Vermaelen.
    - Koscieleny is great with the ball at his feet but is poor positionally and gets bullied in the air by the leagues more powerful centreforwards.
    - Meretesacker. Good in the air and reads the game well but the big German lacks pace and is not particularly gifted on the ball.
Vertoghen gives us the size/power but also the technical ability whereas are current defenders are somewhat one dimensional.

  3. LOL value buys. Now that's a good description. We should hold an end of term sale this summer which would add value to our squad <ok>

Agreed with everything in this post... apart from putting Santos ahead of Gibbs. Santos may have got a couple of goals but he is prone to the kind of calamitous defending we suffered from in the past.

I think it might be a while before Joel Campbell starts getting games for us tbh. But that team wouldn't be so bad, I can't see us signing much more than those two.

It would be exciting to see what Campbell and Miyaichi can do for us...

Miyaichi yeah, but Campbell could probably do with another season on loan, probably with a premier league club as he hasn't been playing much for Lorient recently and has hardly been setting the French league alight.
