Almunia was on first choice GK wages allegedly, rumoured to be 60k+, so that's good money saved Even if the others are only on a couple of k a week, that's an additional 12k saved there too - it all adds up!! Two down really - Hoyte was never going to make it and was probably on a few thousand a week. If we can get rid of 15 more players and bring in 3, we'll have got it just about right. Would leave 52 professionals at the club, and reduce the wages enough to start upping the salaries of the top players Perhaps this a sign that Wenger is learning.... but a long way to go!

Didn't none of them apart from Almunia play this season (and even he only made four caps along with being your third choice keeper)? Don't think this changes much. It's the first team squad that needs freshening up. Arshavin, Chamakh, Diaby, Koscielny, Rosicky and Squillaci need to be on your get rid list.
