Beaver Poo - I reckon Chris Packham on Springwatch would get ever so excited. He's into all types of poo.
This fact only highlights that he is a quality player given the fact that his goals to game ratio was the highest in your example and he was playing for a relegation struggling team. No one said he was the best in the world, we are comparing him to Hulk. Do you think Hulk is one of the best players in the world? I would agree with HH in that I believe the Pod is a better player than Hulk. Hulk reminds me of Júlio Baptista in many ways and he scored 50 goals in 81 appearances for Sevilla (Much better league than Portugal) but by most accounts I would say he was a failure at Arsenal. He was often out-muscled and lacked pace to keep up in the league. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Hulk would end up the same way if he came to premiership.
Aside from Chelsea I haven't heard of any other clubs interested in him and willing to spend $40M on him. Even the Chelsea rumor is just speculation at the moment and will continue to be speculation until they actually buy him for that price.
I apologise for my intrusion! If someone says "Hulk must be good because Chelsea are willing to pay £38m for him", does that make Andy Carroll world class too? Personally, I think Hulk is overrated due to people who spend too much time on football manager deciding he is world class. Realistically, I wouldn't say he's any better than Podolski. I don't think there's much between the two - as Podolski is not world class, merely a solid premiership player - but there is no question as to which of the two players has superior pedigree. Hulk is a player just one year younger than Podolski and has amassed 87 caps fewer and scored 41 fewer international goals whilst playing for a team ranked lower by FIFA than that which Podolski plays for. He scored fewer goals in the Portuguese league last season than Oscar Cardozo and Lima, neither of whom will be moving to Chelsea for £38m anytime soon, despite playing centrally for most of Porto's campaign. Whenever I've seen him play against top teams, he's been anonymous. His career has been blighted by controversy and he has spent a significant chunk of it playing in Japan.
