Man City had £170 million worth of players on the pitch and couldn't manage one single shot on target. They went out there with no ambition to score a goal whatsoever. You'd think that with players like Tevez in their team they'd at least have been adventurous once or twice during the game and maybe even try to catch Arsenal on the break but nothing at all, just boring pish.

Arsenal are the poor man's Barcelona. And by that I mean they play nice football but have a ****e defence and lack the cutting edge that Barcelona have in the big games.

I ****ing hate everything about the EPL. Constantly bleating about how they've got "The Best League In The World" yet 90% of the games that get shown on TV are rank rotten.

I thought it was a great game to watch, Arsenal played some sublime stuff.

Can't wait for the Arsenal Barca champions league games. Neither team wants to sit back and defend <ok> Makings of another fantastic tie after last years. Barca tearing teams apart is a joy to watch.

Just saw the highlights, and Arsenal basically ripped man ****ty a new one. They did everything but score. I would love them to win the EPL, but not sure if they have the bottle to do it.

But Arsenal had about 60% of the ball and everyone knows they play good football. The issue isn't whether they play good football it's transferring that into title winning football.

When you watch Barcelona they don't just look to walk the ball into the net with fancy passing, it's more about looking for openings by probing the opposition formation. Arsenal just knock it about and hope they will score.

My real issue wasn't with Arsenal anyway, they at least looked to play football and win the game. Man City spent all that money then went to the Emirates as though they were still a ****ty little club. Both West Brom and Newcastle have beaten Arsenal at the Emirates this year so it would have been nice to see even a modicum of amibtion from City. A win last night could have put some pressure on Man Utd.

I agree with what you're saying venom, but no other team in the world has players with the ability of Iniesta, Xavi and Messi to create the openings the way they do <ok>

I love how Man City have spent so much money but are still obviously out of their depth at the top end <ok> Barry, Milner and Jo are very average and more suited to a mid table team than one pushing for the title. No idea why he started Jo instead of Adam Johnson who looks a cracking player. Bellamy was brilliant last season for them and they punted him out on loan <doh>

I suppose you're right, Xavi completed135 passes by himself the other night which was 12 passes more than the entire Levante team managed. I just get bored of them going on about how good Arsenal are when they've won **** all for six years and don't look like winning the title this year either.

**** knows how that Jo ever gets in the Man City team over Johnson, the only thing I can think he did last night was roll about on the deck pretending he'd been smacked in the face. You have to wonder how far Bellamy could have gone in football if he wasn't such a fanny as a person.

I agree on Barry and Milner too, I think they were only signed because they're English. £26 million for Milner is a total joke, only Man City would have dreamed of paying that for him.

Aye you see the stats for Xavi's passing and they're unreal. It's because teams sit off them and allow them to pass it about in their own half. He gets some amount of assists as well.

I can't believe for all the money Villa got for Barry and Milner that the best they can do is sign Pires <laugh> <doh>

<laugh> Aye, no wonder they're in the relegation mire. Last time I saw Pires play for Villareal he looked too old and slow for La Liga. When he signed for Villa I knew that was a disaster waiting to happen. If Houllier lasts the season there I'll be massively surprised.

On another note would any of you Bears take selling Miller or McGregor to fund a move for Goodwillie? It's knocking about the internet this morning and it's one that's beyond me. Miller who has scored 40+ goals in 18 months for Goodwillie who is no more than a decent prospect really. I can understand selling McGregor if you can get £8 million+ for him as it would be a good bit of business and Alexander is by no means a bad keeper.

By any bears do you mean me?

I think Alexander is more than capable of being the best keeper in the SPL, so would probably make sense <ok> If they can get big bucks for McGregor I think they'll take it. Millers 31 now and as soon as he loses his pace he won't be half the player he is. He's not a poacher, because his composure is horrendous. Goodwillie could be a great player I think, but it is just potential.

Not that far from the truth. I saw in interview with Nigel Winterburn a couple of years back and he was talking about a game where they were losing at half-time. Wenger said nothing for 14 minutes then drew and arrow towards the opposition goal on a white-board. The he said "Now we win."
Arsenal won the game, according to Winterburn that's what makes Wenger a genius. More like what makes him a ****ing crack-pot.

I'm just not his biggest fan, he's spent the last 6 years moaning about bad tackling and foreign player rules to deflect from the fact he's won **** all in that time. Ever since the likes of Adams, Dixon and Keown have left their defence has been like a sieve.
