Jayram is now describing his admission to Spurs fans that the' North London power shift was complete' - was in fact only a short term power cut Fair play, at least he can laugh at his own foolishness
Apparently he's sent several emails and text messages to the FA begging them to rescue him from WHL. When the press asked the FA for a response, they said that they had no communication from Redknapp, but had received several messages from what appeared to be a hoaxer, as the messages appeared to be written by a two year old.
A lot of that goes on here at the AFC board. Makes me sick to see them all shouting like they actually support the club now we have climbed back above your team. Really takes the shine off when you have to share the moment with a bunch of glory hunting pricks like most on here.
Love how much spurs fans were talking about a power shift, we lost our two best players in the summer and yet we are still ahead of spurs who have had thee best season yet in the premier league apparently says alot. I'd like to see how spurs would cope next season where they to lose bale and modric in the summer, they would be seriously scrapping for a top 6 position, and with all the injuries we have had aswel, and no wilshere for the whole season and only having our best back four for 5 games, says alot doesnt it.
You're an idiot Only a dim witted oaf would be happy with the "carp" we were being served earlier on in the season and put up with it YOU don't represent Arsenal my friend, remember that. You probably have no link to N5 or N7. Its one thing to cheer on a team you see fighting, it is another to cheer on a team seemingly disinterested.
Furthermore - are the Blackburn fans - the majority by the sound of it - that wanted Steve Kean out glory hunters because they now chant his name ? Of course not. They were served utter pap and voiced their disapproval, rightly so. Who is to say that wasn't the kick up the backside the players/manager needed ?
Spurs just had a good run of form that went on too long. They got a few injuries and now they're in complete disarray. Other than Modric, most of the Spurs team are "form" players. When things don't go their way, and they have less support due to the injuries and suspensions of their team-mates, they compound the problem by playing badly. Perhaps I'm just over-analysing, but I saw the same problem with Arsenal a few years back. The special thing about United is they perform whoevers in the team because of the influence of their manager. City perform because they have a massive squad of good players (although Mancini will have greater selection problems when judging good form). Arsenal are closer to the United situation, we have consistent performers currently, and the only reason we did badly earlier in the season is a combination of adapting to major changes in the team, and a sheer excess in injuries. Barring a big change in circumstances, Arsenal should finish 3rd, and in all likelihood.... Spuds will finish 5th. Maybe I just want that to happen though.
Good post. Spurs major problem is their squad in my view. Seems if they lose 2-3 players then their whole side falls apart. We are always missing that many players (minimum)
Arsenal are once again top team in North London, all of London in fact, so the 5pur2 fans can get back in their boxes, roll on St.Totteringham's day!
Quite clearly, Spurs did close the gap on Arsenal and overtook us this season - at the time I said that I hoped it would not be for too long and indeed set a little bet with HIAG that we would indeed overhaul them again (which is why I used a provocative comment of his in my signature - on the account you accidentally deleted ) The reason I don't value your opinions Piskie is because you see everything through rose tinted specs - there's an old saying that a broken watch still shows the correct time twice per day - that's applicable to you. To suggest that fans who called out all the issues - some of which we still have - are foolish is in fact foolish in itself. This season has been a disappointment no matter what happens in the last 9 games - huge errors cost us any chance of trophies. I dont see a CL place and no trophies as success. I am however happy that we are above Spurs and at least look like we can get a CL place. We're on the way to averting complete disaster, but that cannot be viewed as success. I've no desire to get into some tit for tat on the subject - I'd rather suggest that as we're all feeling a lot better about our team that it is now a good opportunity to create more harmony on the board. Whilst I don't value your views, nor you mine, we don't need to bicker like rival fans.
One of your most ridiculous posts ever Half Full - and you have a very large back catalogue to compare against.
No, I said that you pouring out your heart to the Spuds telling them that the 'North London Power shift had been coming and was now complete' was foolish Not people calling out the issues, which I was happy to do so also. The difference was that most of what you were saying was alarmist catastrophising, which turned out to be a complete over reaction and actually bore little resemblance to what was actually happening. Whether you value my opinion or not is totally irrelevant to the reality of the situation, which was that we were never that far off and that we just needed to concentrate for 90 mins and arrest the mistakes in order to challenge, which we have done and proved that we were a million miles from a 'full blown crisis' Even after the 8-2 when you were ruminating on relegation and telling everyone that we'd finish mid table, I said that we were still good enough for top 4. It's got nothing to do with rose tinted specs and everything to do with seeing a situation for what it is instead of panicking and over reacting like you did.
