Traoré on the verge of QPR loan move

Arsenal defender Armand Traoré is expected to tie-up a loan move to QPR within the next week, Gooner Talk understands.

The Senegalese international has only recently recovered from a groin injury sustained after playing just 9 minutes of reserve team football during Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Manchester United on Monday.

Officials from the West London side made enquiries about the availability of Traoré over a week ago, but were told that only a loan move would be viable at the current time.

Tentative enquiries from Benfica have also been made, although sources close to the player suggest that QPR would be his preferred destination.

That was the rumour at the end of last week. Hope it happens as he's decent, pacey + young.

Young, quick and has played a reasonable number of times for the Gunners.

    I'd take him.

Just a thought... will Clint Hill be dropped or move to CB if this materialises (and I don't see any reason why not)?

Anyone know why would Arsenal let him go in their current circumstances?

Gibbs has probably lasted 20 seconds without an injury.

....either that or Wenger wants to make way for another youngster - perhaps a toddler with a motorised pram.
