With three very young and very promising strikers on our books this is one area where the future looks very bright for us (more in the long run than the short term probably)

No doubt about that. However this lad has already shown he is far better than League One standard. I think he is ready to rival Perez for that deeper role, and we definitely need another option there for when Perez is not coming off, which has been the case a few times. Keen to see this kid given a proper chance.

He will do it in the PL with service and a killer through ball.

Arma is Michael Owenesque. He scores corkers, but most of his goals are scored by pulling off the last man and running on to through balls.

He won't rival Ayoze - we will sell Ayoze for £15M+ then we have Arma to replace him for free.

Indeed but we do have the option short term if he doesn't go in January. 5 months of having more than one option for a position

Its what dreams are made of <laugh>

I will be the clichéd deluded toon fan...

We will hang on to Perez ...till he hits the 20 million mark..or we end up challenging for European places ..ie 17-18 season. . Him and Arma competing for the little striker role....Mito and an Austin type competing for the big fella role (riviera taken outside and shot/ Cisse leaves with tiote to set up an ever expanding hareem and supplying the tabloids with endless copy)

Do feel Perez WILL be too good for us in a year or two ..If we bumble along how we have been past 5 yrs.....but if fatty keeps the re build going and then maintains it year on year.

Perez is exactly the sort of player you do your damndest to keep hold off unless silly offers come in ....He SHOULD become a long term player for The club .....that is how the buy cheap should work ...sell on the ones that don't ..quite..make it for a profit..hang 9n to the ones that do fully develop.

Back to reality......Perez goes in Jan for 12 million.....replaced by a goat from France (price 4 euros and a camembert)

He's averaging nearly a goal a game in league one, confidence will be sky high and getting all these goals will be doing him the world of good. It's nice to see a loan move actually paying off for a change. Let's hope he keeps it up.

Don't want him back this season. I'd loan him to a championship club for the second half of the season on the provision he's likely to play. If he can then get double figures in that league over half a season at 17/18 years old we'll know we have a player.

We should recall him to replace Cisse in January.

I'd like him back in January to give us another option to Perez who needs that competition as he is flattering to deceive at times. You could argue SDJ should provide that competition, but then he is never really fit. Better to give Arma his chance when he is flying high. As Sunderland found with Wickham when he came back bouncing from Sheff Wed and fired the goals to keep them up, strike while the irons hot. Sell Cisse, SDJ, bring in Austin and rely on Mitrovic, Austin, Perez and Arma. Those four have what it takes.

I was all for waiting on Siem but his time is just about up if he can't make this latest stint last more than a month or two. Its killing us as McClaren has zero game changes. Mitrovic and Perez have done loads of good work lately, sometimes wearing oppo right down, in those times you need someone to come on and freshen your attack.

I though de Jong was gonna be a good player but he seems To go completely missing in games.
