Bristol City are much less obsessed with possession than Swansea so this is a much more open game. Argyle are definitely holding their own and if anything have had the better chances.

Hardie through the middle with Azaz and Jephcott roaming around him. Randell looking good in that CM holding role and looking so smooth.

Very satisfactory work out in the first half.

Joe Edwards hasn’t coming out for the 2nd half. That’s among other substitutions but he looked a bit uncomfortable with something in the first 45. Hopefully nothing….

Pursall too ambitious with a short pass in the LB position and City score. Pity, no discernible difference in class for 80 plus minutes.

Last act is Ryan Law nearly equalising with a long looping header.

Forget the result: that’s a very good performance against a Championship side and an entertaining game in a friendly sort of style.

The substitutions obviously changed things but they had to happen. From among that 2nd half ones, I see why we signed Alfie Lewis, some good snippets from him.

    Pleased with that..,,

    0-1...Wells...82mins...F/T.

Argyle played well for 60 minutes plus....but too much subbing weakened the team....especially in defence....Pursall gives the ball away...and two quick passes and the balls in the back of the net.

Hardie played well in the first half....but we do look weak up front with Jephcott and later with Ennis.....but promising with our new players doing okay.....just don't seem to have much goal threat from mid-field.

Watched it on Argyle TV...good coverage and commentary....had it on maximum volume....just loud enough to hear over the tower fan that I had going nearby.

Far better than the rubbish video coverage that we were subjected to during the Covid shut down season.
