Argus Predictions

Just received notification that NOT606 has set up it's own predictions league.

Does this mean the end of our own Argus Predictions?

If enough people want to continue, I am more than happy to do so.

Please let me have your comments and no offence taken if the majority wish to participate in the NOT606 version.

In order that everyone has an opportunity to respond, any chance this article can be added to the 'sticky' list for a day or so?

We've set up the Not606 'I know the score' prediction league where you predict each week the results of all Premier League, Championship and SPL games. It's only for fun this season but we'll try get some decent prizes for the start of the next season.

You must be a "special one" as I've not received any email to that effect. Looking at the text you've reproduced, I see that it's PL, Fizzy Pop and SPL. I for one am not interested in that.

This throws up 2 thoughts to me - Who is it being run/organised by, the site itself or an "outside" company, and more importantly, if the powers that be knew of this, I would have expected a pm from someone to you to advise you of this as you've done this thankless task well for a long time without any reward except many peoples thanks!!

 

The Argus thing is tradition for me, come over from 606 and ours, I would hate to see it go mate, providing you dont mind doing it.
Do you want a poll on it or just comments?

It's not big and it's not clever, but it is new. We've added a little chat functionality on the home page and on it's own dedicated page, for those who like to chat a bit more casual and speedier.

Server speed and performance:

We seem to have finally sorted the issues which have been plaguing us. The forum loads fast, and the remaining issues with downtime seem to have finally been sorted.

Out of interest I clicked on the link. This looks a "linked" professional site imo. The one thing that really got me was the fixture on 2-25-2011 between Everton v FC Sunderland.

Who the **** uses american dating system on a UK football forum, and who the **** are FC Sunderland???

It seems that not606 are to have their own prediction comp covering the EPL, FIZY POP and SPL.

Argus is willing to coninue with his for our board but oviously its only worth doing if you, the members, want to take part.

I like it and would like it to continue, cant see why we cant do both but its down to you.

A simple yes or no vote please.

Will keep this up until the weekend.

That would be down to Argus Mick, it takes him some time, we brought it over from 606 and been doing it for some time. I dont see the problem with us doing both TBH providing we still have plenty who want to do this one. Over to you Argus, you could be the Brucie of not606

Looked at the not606 one and its very proffessional but not personal like ours. I will do both but this is my number one
