If the red card is rescinded of course that changes the whole situation but this should have been done the next day

The FA guidance on Remy appeal is that #nufc are likely to hear if he is still banned today or not. The case is being fast-tracked.

I think there's a lot of grounds for no red card. Players come together all the time, I would imagine the NUFC lawyers have countless examples of Man U, Chelsea or City players raising arms, heads together, etc.

Sadly, they're overlooking the most important facts - first, we're NOT Man U, Chelsea or City, and second it's the FA - FA by name, FA by nature, much easier to just leave the card as is than go through all the ballache of rescinding it.

It does make a mockery but it is the kind of trick Man U or chelsea would try and probably get away with.

Us they probably stay back on a friday night to have the hearing

    **** them

Just read that we'd be without Remy for Sunderland, Chelsea and Spurs. I think the club would have appealed if he'd pulled a shotgun out of his pants and shot Delia Smith.

Honestly I didn't see the incident. But it sounded like there might be grounds for the red cards to be rescinded, given the lack of seriousness of the alteration.

Would be a right old joke if Remy gets banned 4 games for this, while Ben Thatcher got what 7 games ban for his battery and assault on Pedre Mendes?

Wow? That was it? That wasn't a headbutt....

Really if that's a red card, we see a lot of that every other game, it' usually yellow. Ok, then I understand why they're appealing. Willo as well as the guy grabbing him as well as half of both teams could have been sent off if that is the yard stick applied. Very soft indeed.

    ty for posting this.

Pretty sure of us can say with any confidence that these cards will be overturned, so marginal is the confidence in the honesty of the process that is applied to evaluate these matters.

No doubt, you do see it going on and quite often players get booked. The difference here is the reaction of Johnson, which to all intents and purposes looks as if he's been butted. If he hadn't been a pussy, more than likely neither would have got sent off.
Gamble on appealing, but most outcomes will go with ref's decision unless evidence can be shown that Remy did nothing. I think he'll end up with 4 Game ban for frivolous appeal as the FA will see that we are trying to manipulate the system.

Probably deserved a yellow for raising their arms but not for the 'headbutt', but if the incident was deserving of a yellow, then I don't think a red would be overturned and they will allow the referees decision to be final! However if in the referees match report he states that Remy was sent off for a headbutt and theres no mention of any pushing???? Would it get rescinded then? Possibly!
