Who's your money on for killing Archie Mitchell in Eastenders?

Ronnie Mitchell - his eldest daughter with whom he had a troubled relationship which resulted in her daughter being killed, a daughter he told her died right after birth.

Roxy Mitchell - youngest daughter who had a solid relationship with her father but his latest betrayals to his family plus the fact she benefitted from the will is agood motive

Peggy Mitchell - Ex sister in law/wife who was ousted from her house & pub over Christmas due to his evil streak. Did she finish the job Phi couldn't do?

Phil Mitchell - Nephew who despised Archie. Lost the Arches & the pub due to his uncles underhandscheming. Threatened to kill him before after orders from his mom, did he blame himself for not going through with it first time around?

Samantha Mitchell - Neice who cost her family their business & home after allowing Archie to convince her to skip bail

Grant Mitchell - Did he come back to act revenge?

Janine Butcher - Killed before & having been ousted & dumped by Archie as soon as he got the pub puts her high on the list.

Bradley Branning - His wife/ex wife was raped & impregnated by Archie, love can make people crazy.......crazy enough to murder?

Jack Branning - On/off boyfriend of Ronnie & father to Roxy's child. Had he had enough of the girls torture at the hands of their father? He has killed before & has a dodgy past.

Ian Beale - Duped by Archie & Janine to sell the Mitchells debt on to them which ended up seeing his brother (Phils son) homeless at Christmas. Humiliated that they had a recording of him & Janine which threatened to end his marraige to Jane for good did he do it?


I got the shooting of Phil right a few years ago but this one is a bit trickier. Peggy is the standout for me, Barbara Windsor is due to leave soon so I'd imagine a massive storyline similar to this will be on the cards for her leaving. She'd be free to come back if she wanted or would die in prison.

The actor who plays Bradley has been on a few things recently, 8 out of 10 cats, This Morning etc but are they throwing us a red herring?

Ian Beale doesn't have the balls & Phil is far too obvious to have done it.

Surely the writers wouldn't make out it was Grant? He's supposed to fly from Brazil to Walford to kill Archie then fly back to be with his kids........without anybody knowing about it?

Janine again is a bit obvious, surely it gives out the wrong message if 3 of her husbands/fiances die without her going to jail.

Roxy is a good shout, a good detective will always look at those who inherited the most. £3m, a pub, a car lot & 2 houses is a decent motive for a father who let you down by chucking you out on the street Christmas Eve.

Ronnie I don't think cared enought about him to kill him, thats what little feelings she had. If she wanted to kill him it would have been when Danielle died (the second time).

Jack is very mysterious with his 'contacts' & private calls but I don't really get his motive at all, I'd be very surprised if he did as it makes no sense.

If I had to call it I'd go for peggy, based on the fact she is leaving & as far as I know nobody else in the frame is. Her final scenes will be the trial & jail with her probably dying from a stroke caused by the stress...........I can't see the Mitchells going through another massive storyline so soon after this to allow Peggy to leave.

My outside bet would be Roxy. She always stood up for her dad through all the terrible things he did, at Christmas he pushed them too far. If she knew she would inherit & get the pub back she might just well have done it.

Live this friday for the 25th anniversary special & then we'll find out

Phil might seem too obvious but it could be a double bluff - might be him.

It says he's leaving in a "heartbreaking ending" - so I reckon he either gets done for Archie's murder when he didnt do it, or he tops himself before they arrest him.

 

Not seen an entire episode of that pish since I lived with my mum when I was 17. So about 9 years ago now. Who the **** is Archie Mitchell?
