I am extremely sorry for what was written on our board about you by one of our "members" It wasn't called for which is why I was so puzzled as to why he wrote it, I only wish I had deleted it... Shiny...this is a wake-up call. There are some who hide bigotry, lack of respect, homophobia and racism under the cloak of banter. Their answer is always that it's only a laugh and can't you take it? Then there are the ones who are twisted and use any forum to express their lack of humanity. I'm close to jacking it in on here because, simply, it's too unpleasant. CJS is a good bloke, and has done much to help this site (both boards) grow. It's a huge shame that we all let it go this far.
I don't think you'll be seeing CJS for quite some time, if ever again. Thank you for your apology Shiny. Unfortunately this is the rather sad side of Forums/Social Media.
Sadly CJS won't be coming back he's asked for his account to he deleted and is no longer continuing with the rovers not606 twitter account either.

Well, what a ****ing shambles. Quite honestly I think it’s a disgraceful state of affairs that some pondlife reckons it’s acceptable to act as they did on this forum. Who the **** do you think you are with comments like that? Regardless of football allegiances, past differences etc., comments like that step way, way over the line. What the **** is wrong with you? Is your own life so empty and bereft that you have to cyber-bully someone and make vile personal comments just to make yourself feel better? It just demonstrates that the individual(s) simply have no ability to engage in banter without making a total **** of themselves and causing profound personal upset to an individual who they have never met. It’s the coward’s way. I’m incredibly disappointed with one poster whom I hitherto respected who felt it reasonable to go after CJS over a number of days on our board, clearly with the intention of instigating a ‘meltdown’. I’m not saying that this individual made the offensive comments, but the environment in which they were made was established by his actions. As for the speck of scum who made these pathetic and disgusting comments – we all know that they are an existing member of the BCFC not606 board posting under another pseudonym. Perhaps those on the BCFC board could reflect on the individuals who they attract and harbour on their sordid site. Because it’s a sure as **** that several of them know exactly who this twat is. It’s just another wretched episode in the sad and sorry history of BCFC posters overstepping the mark and not knowing where the line between banter and disgraceful comments lies. There would quite rightly be hell to pay if a Gashead had made derogatory comments about the sadly departed Natchrawldry – so why on earth does some twat think it acceptable to make disgusting comments about CJS and his tragic loss? Get some ****ing perspective, you prick. I am angry and upset that CJS has chosen to leave the forum permanently, but I fully understand his reasons for doing so. He wasn’t chased out by banter, he’s perfectly capable of ‘taking it’, he didn’t get banned for making disgraceful comments, no - he clearly felt he had to leave when some witless, anonymous, spineless coward reverted to making disgusting personal attacks because their level of ‘banter’ just doesn’t cut the mustard. CJS is a far bigger man than that pathetic, loathsome scumbag will ever be and I will very much miss his many and varied contributions to this site. Hopefully, after a period of time he will be back. All us Gasheads owe him for the work he has put in and for his good humour and camaraderie. I know that many BCFC posters will feel bad about what has happened, the instigator of this thread for example, and a number of others – you know who you are. But to those who disagree with the comments I have made above – I don’t care what you think, I don’t give a **** for your opinions and comments – keep them to yourselves. What you should do is print out my comments on some stiff card, roll it up into a tube, dip the tube in concentrated Nitric Acid and then shove it up your inadequate ass.
This another example of mindless foulmouthed pratts hiding behind the anonynimity of these Boards. I hope CJS accepts the respect and support we all owe him and rescinds his decision and returns back to our Board straightway if not sooner!
I hope CJS comes back soon - the 2 of us have a great deal of respect for each other and manage to have sensible conversations. I've sent him a private message which I hope he sees.
Can I ask if the mods could vet posts from other forum users before they go live as other message boards do? Could be a way of dealing with the problem.
Shiny, good on you. We only get to moderate threads from new members, once a member has become trusted (after a certain number of posts) then they are free to visit and post on any section of the forum. All we can do is reactive moderation ie; remove offensive comments/threads and request bans from the super mods.
I don't know what was said but I gather it was truly horrendous. Whoever made those comments must take a serious look at him/herself because they have effectively driven the best contributor on this forum away. I hope CJS comes back because his comments are very informative and fair. Not only does he run two excellent competitions, he has done wonderful things for this forum.
