I know we haven't signed Barton yet, but if we do...
Can you name any other ex-QPR players that are infamous for their reputations?
Either already with us or that we have signed, and where would JB be on a relative scale.
I can think of three or four, ( I'll let you name them. ) and wonder what it would of been like then ( On club forums ) had we had the wonder of the internet.
I have never known a player like JB to have generated so many posts and differing opinions in recent months.
This is the Premier League, this is what we wanted.
    Love him or hate him.....

Go on admit it... it's exciting isn't it? :1980_boogie_down:

Obvious ones would be Vinnie Jones and Razor Ruddock, both infamous for their "hard man" image - can't remember if they actually played together, but think they were at the club about the same time.

Mark Dennis, Gavin Macguire played in the same side at one point, what a couple of psychopathic nutters.

Yes they did, I was at Vinnie Jones debut at Huddersfield when he scored, was in the front behind the goal, got sprayed with his spit when he was screaming his delight at us! That was memorable.

Mark Dennis is the one that springs to mind, long blonde hair looked like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth but what an absolute headtheball!

Failed a drugs test after taking some class As then provided a sample that wasn't urine at a drugs test when he'd come back from the ban. Was arrested for dealing but the charge was dropped.

Just checked wikipedia and he was done for drink driving too. Looked different class when he came through the ranks, shame.

Don Shanks did a great job of quite subtly kicking anyone who kicked Stan for a couple of years, and was his partner in boozing and gambling. But my favourite R's nutter the aforementioned Mark Dennis. Barton, Razor, Vinnie play(ed) up to their image. Dennis just genuinely mad. Remember him being sent of at Spurs for trying to decapitate Ardiles....

My fave QPR player of all time.
I had the pleasure of meeting Dave Thomas when QPR trained at The West London Stadium ( now the Linford Christie Stadium, I think? )
back when I was a kid in '76.
I ran around the track with him and then he bought me whatever I wanted in the canteen afterwards. ( An Ice cream )
He was on the Lemon Tea.
Not really that mental TBGWTDT, nice one though.
He would still walk into this side if he was playing today!
    Sigh.....
