My colleague is a Norwich fan and went on saturday and said our support was very vocal which is great to hear and we played ok...

But no goals in open play and Palace brushed Sunderland aside at the weekend so that point looks a bit poor...

Dont get me wrong, I'm really positive about our prospects this season but something isnt quite connecting yet with the team. Lambert and Osvaldo, does that work??

Spurs haven't scored in open play either(in the Prem). Not concerned at all it's early days.

Too early to be concerned. 3 games, 2 goals. If we're not scoring by christmas then yes. I think this has been discussed in depth in the Norwich match thread.

Too early to worry. I'm sure MP is seeing what we are seeing and has more chance of making changes than we do. Or it is just a blip.

Least number of goals scored in any Premier League season to date so its not just us. I am a little concerned by some decisions but really it is too soon.

Originally I was a bit concerned with Palace putting 3 past Sunderland when we only managed 1 but the game was played in a completely different fashion... there wasn't an early goal for Sunderland to sit on and from what I saw from the highlights both teams were playing a pretty open game which led to more opportunities. Palace also got the 2nd from a stupid challenge which led to a penalty and a sending off... then O'Keefe scored the sort of goal that a player like him will score maybe once or twice in their career.

4 points from those three games is ok, and probably all our play has merited. Bit disappointing considering these are meant to be relatively easy games, but we've only had one of them at home so it's not too bad. As others are saying though, it's really too early to tell.

Even at the stat of last season when wheels were coming off everywhere, I didn't worry about the league table for 10 games. 6 at an absolute minimum, but 10 gives you an ideas on how things are going.

None of last year's mid table or lower teams can really say they have had a great start, but no need for anyone to worry yet.

On a side note, all these international breaks in the first few weeks really annoy me.

Just a bit. Even worse if there's an injury.

Might be a blessing in disguise for us at the moment, people like Lambert might play themselves into some sort of form for someone else and come back to us better players.

after 10 games last year you must have been ready to cut your wrists . Our style of play depends so much on our fullbacks creating space for the front 3, we have yet to play Clyne and Shaw together so I´m not too concerned. Chambers has done well but has obviously been instructed to concentrate on defence, Fox will never cause the opposition fullbacks trouble. victor and Morgan need to sort thier **** out when it comes to who pushes forward, and we have not had a really attacking performance from a no10 whether it be JWP or Gaston. You see other teams attacking so much quicker than us and it is frustrating, but we have the quality, all we need is to click. If Saints were playing against a team and thier attack consisted of Lambert, Osvaldo, JRod, lallana and Ramirez then im pretty sure most on here would say that attack was pretty scary

Think we have played reasonably well in all 3 games, but we only create chances when we play at a high tempo and our passing is much quicker. With no natural width, we tend to try and play through the opposition so playing at a slick pace enables us to find those gaps that our forwards run into. 4 points from 9 isn't bad despite the 'easier teams' that we have played. We do need a win against West Ham though I think, to get renew our confidence of beating sides at home. No need to be worried just yet.

One thing Osvaldo doesn't bring with him is any change in fortune. For the life of me I can't see where this is offside. Sheer poetry:

To chalk that goal off must break some law in humanity somewhere. The lino really should have had to pay with some sort of prison sentence. It was bad enough in the 1980's when Keegan's shot was disallowed because the offside law was different then and David Armstrong was deemed to have strayed slightly offside, but Osvaldo's goal is perfectly good. That's the way to score an overhead. No shanking there.
