You boys are taking one hell of a beating and are out of the World Cup. Getting spanked 8-1 by Honduras.

Actually I gave up at Honduras 6- 0 Canada

After freezing half to death at BMO Field on Friday when Canada looked like they were actually gonna pull it off, this is a bit hard to take. But the dream -pffffft it was gone. I hope them bronze medallin' women have a few kid brothers

Yes, quite an embarrassing display, given Canada just need a point to move on in World Cup qualification.

Canada had actually tied Honduras 0-0 at home in a previous game where they squandered a multitude of goal scoring opportunities (just like QPR). If they had won that game, the score here would have been of no consequence. Early on in this game Canada actually had a couple of good chances that they didn't take advantage of, then fell apart after the first Honduras goal was scored on them (like QPR).

Possibly the extreme heat, hostile crowd (in a past fixture here bags of pee had been thrown at Canadian players), a few injuries & suspensions came into play here.

No not rubbing any noses at all. Was just surprised by the result and wondered if any Canadians were on here followed the Canadian national team.

In jest, tongue in cheek - Canada could do with Hoilett in their squad.

What we should be saying to Maple, Kilburn and any other Canadian Rs, is tough luck guys but that's what supporting Rangers does for you: gets you used to that losing habit!

I was at that draw in Toronto. Honduras came out like Brazil for about 20 minutes, got nowhere and I dunno - lost interest or something. Canada had a lot of opportunities to pull that one out but failed to do so - maybe foreshadowing yesterday

I agree though - one goal then and the world would have looked diffterent today

And Kiwi - I was reallky hoping to get a home and away with the all whites - for sure 4th would have been the best we could have expected up against US, Mexico and Jamaica

So what is it now, 3 more years before qualifiers start again?
