Mother jokes are fair game mate. particularly when you bring her into the discussion. I hope she is ill too. Not because I'm a nasty ill wishing ****, but because when I joked my mother was dead on here to make a mackem feel bad, some folk got very upset (roger loves todger was one) This is real life not some internet forum you know!
Last Friday my brother found her on her bedroom floor and she was took to hospital in bad way, there was a blood clot in a vessel by her brain, she had a mild to severe stroke and didn't know anyones name and mixed words up, now she knows our name but still slurs a little, the physio thinks she may be walking by the end of the week, she will give up smoking and I have learned that we should never take loved ones for granted... We should be looking after them when we leave their home after they have gave us a home for so long.
Fair do's, I wish her all the best. While its a sad situ to find yourself in, best not to take mother jokes too much to heart. There tends to be quite a few of them on here.
