He's growing in stature with each game ... but he is not alone - some people have scoffed at Vardy for £1 million but that is also looking like money well spent ...
Vardy still has a few rough edges a bit like Knockaert but 2 fantastic signings by Nigel who both will only get better as the season progresses
Just watched the goals on sky sports news - unbefookinbelievable!! Have got a manlove crush on knockaert now
What I like the most about his performance tonight is that he did it on a wet, windy, miserable away day midweek. Not many foreign players do that.
Yeah. Nights like tonight can make or break you season. We lost alot of points in mid week away games last year
QUALITY! Lets hope he can sustain this form, unlike Ben Marshall. Saying that both are young players and are still learning, Marshall is still an excellent prospect too and has a big part to play this season. We look like a proper TEAM at last. no square pegs in round holes!
I think the most significant thing is that we now have 'goals' throughout the midfield and forwards ... I remember when we had Lineker, Smith and lynex weighing in ... then Cottee, Heskey, Claridge and Izzet ... now we have Vardy, Nugent, King, Knockaert and Marshall all capable of scoring ... plus Schlupp and Waggy as well ...
If we can get both Marshall and Knockaert firing on all cylinders then we will be there or there abouts come May
I was seriously sceptical after the 1st 4 or 5 games that this squad was gonna be good enough to challenge, but NP seems to have rooted out the bad apples and things are starting to look good, but after a lifetime of following city i know nothing is ever simple or straigtforward, so i'll just enjoy the moment and see where we end up in may, but i have to say, i'm loving it
The only fly in the ointment is ben marshall..and his intermittent form...for a few games he is great then for no reason his form dips..I wonder why?
Was moved to the left wing, so its easier for the defender to read him, as hes always going to try and cut it back onto his right for the pass/cross/shot. Still works hard though helping Konchesky when we don't have the ball.
If that is the case..he needs to get over it and learn how to overcome it...his body language doesn't look so positive as it did...hope his confidence is not as fragile as it appears...we need everybody performing..
Marshall's drop in form seems to have coincided with Knockahert's introduction into the first team. Maybe there's not enough room for two super-talented, long-distance-shotting wingers i this team...
