As Toby says, while Cowie is the most underrated player in the division, you couldn't argue with £3m, bearing in mind the sort of money that Tommy Smith and Danny Graham have gone for in recent years.

Cowie is our playmaker though, and we don't exactly have anyone queueing up to fill his boots...

I think in time, Sean Murray could fill Cowies' boots. He looks very promising

True, but he'd move on to a big club very quickly if he did. I have no doubt the boy has prem potential.

cowie does what he does very sneakily, he flies under the radar

Seems like we would have signed that Conway chap had Malky not moved on...

If Murray was minded to take the first opportunity to go to a massive club, he wouldn't be a Watford player right now. And that bodes very well for us, because to have any chance of being worth Ashley Young type money, he would ideally be in or around the first team for around 18 months.

That is, assuming he takes to men's football like a duck to water. It usually takes even the best lads some time, particularly in this division.

    Unfortunately that isn't long enough!

Its no secret that I'm a massive Cowie fan, but i think if he went, his boots might be too big to fill. Certainly murray is not of that standard yet!
