Hi all, Cardiff fan in peace, honestly.(I know there's been a bit of bad blood between us since the MM saga) I've heard news today that MM is looking into the possibility of signing one of your former players (albeit only on loan) in Andrew Taylor. I was at first going to post this on the M'boro board but I felt that you'd know more about him since he was with you more recently. All I know about him is that he has represented England U21's in the past, this doesn't really mean much to me from what I've seen of your U21's recently (no offence intended, ours aren't much better ). Just Wondering: Are we getting a good player? What are the main strengths and weaknesses to his game? Are we (possibly) potentially getting an absolute steal on a free transfer? Cheers Hornets, thoughts welcomed .
He is ****e!! He wont suit your style at all!!! dont even bother! Nah, he is a decent player, likes to get forward and take a chance, one of the reasons he has done so well in his new found role as a winger. He is strong and fast and is actually left footed which is a bonus. I would hate to see you get him, but i guess its down to money.
You should ask Middlesbrough, after he was with us, he went back to them and they didn't want to let him go...
You should've put this on the Boro board, he was with them for the 2nd half of last season and even scored against us. It was noticable when he left that we didn't have a left-footed LB (even in the few games I saw) and he can play LM, which is where he was playing for Boro when he went back.
Whoops, shows how much I know .Sorry I thought he was with you guys all season . Aaah well, your a nicer bunch than the 'Boro lot . Still, Any views on him would be nice .
You should sign him then loan him to us for a season or 2. We might start to forgive you for MM then...
Err in one section it says he plays for Middlesbrough, but in another it says Cardiff. There is no confirmation of any kind of transfer activity anywhere. I give up, but when he was with us he had 2 right feet and kept tripping over them. The goal against Portsmouth at new year was pure fluke - hit and hope. ITs what Watford has done for 35 years since GT came to the club!
I wish cardiff fans would stop comin on our page, im really gonna lose it if a thread says MM looks to sign cowie any thought, god I hate MM

There are ex-Watford people in our league that know his value now Kingy...not least Stephenson at Brighton...
If Stephenson comes back for another of his former recommendations he should have to take them all as a job lot for a large fee. Aldred, Gilmartin, Walker and the rest. 10m all in.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!?! Not Earnshaw. Incredibly over-rated player I love DC but for £3M, we would have to consider that...
With regards to Taylor, I thought he was happy at Boro and on the verge of signing a new contract. If he does sign it, I very much doubt he will go out on loan... the only chance is Cardiff get in before he signs and picks him up on a free! As to how good he is, well, our defence lost a lot of it's balance after he left! As for DC, obviously we'd all like to keep him, but we know everyone has a price and for £3m, that could very well be his.... I wouldn't value him that high, if i'm honest! Maybe £1.5-2m
