I kind have given up - but one thing that seems to have been missed is the restriction ends at the end of August. But otherwise, bollocks to them all...they are either trolls or jealous

The more I think about the comments on Baz from the football league the more that I think that what they are saying is legalese for being unable to prove that he did not benefit from the transactions. Because I am not bound by such legal niceties I can't help but speculate on whether the money gained went into the Red Lion which he was hoping to own after he was bought out.

It was reported that the club was paying the bills for the work on the Red Lion NZ. Without looking it up, from memory money was going out, the builder was not paid and no receipts for the work were produced. There was some deal done with the builder where he managed the pub as there was no money.

Well said BB, thats how I read the regulations - so as long as they don't get funny with our dealings, then we should be fine. There won't be a repeat of the LNOC fiasco with our new owners, so unless the authorities want to try and be awkward, then we will be fine! They are their rules, so they can't punish a club who use them to their own advantage!

There were a few on the Hull board who were fine about our situation, but some seem so angry with how we are doing things, it's unreal. I kind of gave up the other night and again yesterday, trying to reason with one or two. Some are just so anti-Watford that they think we are ruining football and the "gentleman's" game.

It is funny how it's mainly the teams around us that are so up in arms about the loanees and now how we have got away with a points deduction - some seem to be even linking the two!

They must have been banking on us getting a points deductions and giving them a stronger chance of promotion. I think it shows us how much other fans are worried about how good we are becoming.

An excellent summary of the FL judgement by Frank Smith on the WO website. Bas and his sidekick nailed for deception, and their defence that they did not understand the regulations dismissed. The company secretary, Mr Wastall, does not come out of it very well. The only oddity is that the FL said that Bas was not acting out of personal gain, but with the interests of the club in mind! He was only trying to ease the cash flow, which he had misjudged at the time of the takeover.! Yet the judgement reveals he was also prepared to play fast and loose with the Sordell takeover money, that he lied to the finance director and that he lied to the FL investigation over what he told the directors.

This will cost the club a huge amount of money in legal fees and costs, and has affected the flow of revenue from the Mariappa sale. LNOC still want money from the club, and Bas will surely never pay his share of the FL legal costs.

Small beer compared to fines that could have come our way or loss of revenue etc a points deduction could have caused. This is an unreserved good result - and the people I blame other than Bassini are those who were duped by a former bankrupt and clearly did NOT do their due diligence into his financial situation properly. It was clear to an awful lot of people that Bassini was never a fit and proper person and I for one was never fooled - and am far from alone in that

I like OFH am now looking forward to the fun with court cases galore! If the club have any sense they will apply for a patent to the movie rights - and I definitly think there is a book in this once everything comes out.

Remember the Russos's have Baz accounts frozen right now & there will be the finance company who are in litigation with Watford right now who may also sue Baz. Then Watford (Pozzos) may ( I do hope they will) sue both Baz & the finance company. Then there is Inland Revenue + the Fraud Police after Baz - this will run for a long time I think & we will have a laugh and be completely confused and amazed as it becomes public knowledge.

We are very lucky the Pozzos came along when they did as we would now be somewhere between Portsmouth & Luton or worse!

I'll eat my hat if he does appeal - it's just hollow words.

Besides he will soon have enough on his plate without wasting his and everyone else's time on that.

Or they should accept his appeal but simply not turn up at the appointed time - and keep doing that. :emoticon-0130-devil

He is even claiming credit for Watford being in a position to challenge for promotion! He left the club in a far better position than it was when he took over, don't you know! What a character! Fantasist, incompetent and con artist, in equal measure. His latest statement sounds like the last gasp of someone on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

I hope that if he is allowed to appeal, the FL ask for the fees up front.

The Russos are not coming out of it very well either. You have to wonder why they would allow themselves to become embroiled with such a crook.

Will they ever see any of the money again? Suspect not. Baz will no doubt say that he will launch an appeal against the judgement if he is true to form.

Bassini will wait till all the court cases go against him and then guess what - he will file for bankruptcy yet again. Ho ho ho and serves the Russos right too as I doubt if they will get a penny back.

Nasty people all of them - playing their games at our expense
