I have watched wigan for a couple of weeks and they are scoring goals. Their problem is they are also conceding **** loads too. Our problem next week will be creating enough chances for our powderpuff strikeforce to actually score. We could still be playing now and not scored in our game with Fulham. I think it will be another draw next week. Odds on banker. 1 - 1.
SB will play him centre half. MRaw & CPD hit the nail on the head. Still making basic mistakes after a long time as a manager. Difficult to defend brucie at the mo.
difficult to have a thread that does not become a Bruce out one, think its the jungle for me tonight, maybe a poll first
I've never stated that Bruce is perfect, after all who is! I believe that he has got the basis of a half decent team, but I also believe that he has made some poor decisions regarding team selection and tactics. I was very disappointed with the negative team selection against Fulham, but that does not mean that I will be shouting for his head. I hope and believe that he will eventually learn from the mistakes he is making and that we can continue making progress.
Trouble is mate. I've been saying that for what seems like years. Saturday kind of proved to me Bruce has had his time and he is still making stupid mistakes. I'm not a BOB by any means. However, if he was sacked tomorrow it would be fine by me. If we lose next week he will surly have to go.
Bruce has been a manager for 13 years... Thats long enough for me to arrive at the decision I have come to. I think its time for him to go but afterall he is on £3 million a year with a contract upto 2014... Perhaps he will make the honourable choice and tender his resignation when the fans begin to chat 'Bruce out' louder than they did on Saturday. It's not as if he would be shot of a few bob or two.
I think hopeing for Bruce to resign is akin to pissing into the wind TBH mate. 6-9 Million left on his contract! He wont walk.
For all of his faults (in the eyes of Sunderland fans) I do believe Steve Bruce is man enough to walk. I heard a rumour that he offered to resign after the 5-1 loss to Newcastle although whether there is any truth in that I really don't know. If the fans start to chant his name, he will walk, I'm fairly sure. Steve Bruce is a man of pride and he won't wish to hear the persistent chants of 'Bruce Out' reverberating around the SOL. Short might or might not be prepaired to do it, but I think Bruce will walk if the fans make the voices clear at the SOL. I wasn't there on Saturday but by all accords there were murmerings in certain parts of the crowd.
Fair comment mate, but sometimes it is 'better the devil you know', as I have found from bitter experience whilst following the lads for many years... However, if we were to change manager, I would still be there to give him/her a chance..
