In the paper today, there is an article about David Amoo bieng unsure about his future and somewhere in it, it says he's available for ã400,000. I know he hasn't been as successful as we all hoped but do you reckon he is worth a punt or should Nigel spend the money elsewhere?
Firstly NP has to decide on his retain list. Do we pursue deals for Amoo / Akpan / Hobbs / Gerrard / Evans ? Evans would seem to be sorted. Do we extend deal on Balaid? The way this management works is in the Transfer Window the first day is busier than the last. So when does the window open and when can we return unwanted loan players? Let the fun begin.
I don't think we'll keep Belaid, though that might change if we flog Koren(I think they do a similar job).
Belaid came with a lot of promise but we haven't seen enough of him. I really want to see him in a bigger role these last 2 games, he's shown signs of a good player, but just not enough for a deal imo. But I would rather have Belaid than Amoo. Amoo hasn't impressed me at all.
id like to see amoo and beliad given a start on saturday, that goal should have done him the world of good confidence wise, and we could see what hes made of, and belaid has hardly had any chance.. i know pearson and co, see them in training every day, but you cant replicate a real match scenario in training....there here, so might as well give them a proper run out, not much to lose..
I can't see us risking having Akpan, Belaid and Amoo all in a midfield starting XI for the last home game of the season, even if they will have protection of the man mountain that is James Harper.
i don't think he particularly rates amoo or belaid to be honest, i think he's had the opportunity within particular games and still not looked towards them. of the three i'd say akpan would be most likely to start on the weekend.
