How can you make that judgement "any better than league 1"? The guy has never played at a higher level, the same can be said in regards to 3/4 of the Saints players. Ricky and Barney are prime examples. You will not be able to judge them until they have competed at that level surely? He is inexperienced granted as are all that I have mentioned at this level!!
It always seems that Seaborne is not given a chance to prove himself. Martin however is promoted from last choice to 3rd choice this year behind new CB / Fonte, having not played championship & only 4 games league 1. I think Seaborne will have to leave as at 23/24 yrs ? you want first team football and if rumours are true & Millwall & Burnley are sniffing around then he should go. Then we will be only left will Martin & Jaidi. Injury & suspensions that could be a worry.
Just a stat to dwell on... Seaborne made 27 appearances last season. Saints won 21 of those games. Drew 2 of them Lost 4 of them He has a 78% win record.
I'm guessing, that it's very hard to blame Seaborne for us losing games, considering we do very well with him in the side.
Yeah his stats are good aren't they ? It does show we do well with him in the side. That's why I would be disappointed if we lost him when we sign another CB.
When I first saw the thread I was not too impressed - now am a little excited! He ticks alot of boxes!!!!
We easily get excited. Went on Bern's website and looked at their team photo...Jemel was listed as not on photograph..could have have had flu, could be on his way somewhere. Learnt that the German word for team is manschaft?
If it turns out to be bollocks it's a bit of a random name to pull out the hat (Rocket's Hamdi Salihi was too though) but it may be that we spoke to him in Switzerland, who knows.
Considering we lost just 10 games all season, these stats don't really prove anything. I believe we need a better partner for Fonte and I think we will find one - sooner or later.
It is true though. No matter what you think of him, it's correct that 9/10 times he does his diagonal balls onto Lambert's head.
