Amongst the endless updates from a clearly proud owner and chairman on twitter tonight Amit Bhatia said he was dissapointnted at fans reactions to Joey Barton tonight, Joey Barton himself did admit he was, quote, 'SH*T'. Amit added we are a team and a family that needs to stick together, so my question is do you feel fans are right to be so abusive towards Barton tonight, after all won't this further reduce his form. Personally I think Barton is awful and I don't want him back in the squad just ye.
You should never boo a player let alone your ''captain'' however at the same time I dont blame those that did as this is the first time this season he's actually been taken off for an even-****-by-his-own-standards performance
short of amputating his legs i'm not sure how his form could dip lower than tonight! Keep him off the pitch (keeping SWP company on the bench) and stay up! Simple!
Re Barton and the booing, I think we have been seriously and repeatedly provoked but I don't believe we should boo any of our players. Thank God he was taken off though, no way we would have won if he had stayed on the pitch.
Yes, he got off very lightly IMO, he was lucky bottles werent thrown at him when he was coming off. I just witnessed the worst performance by a PL player that Ive ever seen. IT looked like someone picked a random stranger out of the crowd. Its clear who the problem is and look, we managed to score from a corner now that he isnt taking them.
Absolutely. Play as bad as that, you get booed. That's football. For our sake I really hope MH has a good hard look at what happened after he came off. He should be smart enough to put two and two together. NW's mistake to sign him but there is still time to rectify it.
Its not just that game, he hasnt had a single good game. Id rate most of his games as a 4 and that was a 1. If hes been doing well then people would have supported him, now we just want him out of the team because he is ****e and his presence is toxic to team spirit.
Amit's disappointed? HE's disappointed? How does he think WE feel, having to put up with Barton? With all of Barton's twits online and mobile, his derogatory comments for everybody including his own teammates, berating them even, and then telling us he's as good as any player in England and giving us performances that are nowhere near as good as own teammates! Amit's disappointed? He's barking mad!
Let's face it. Barton isn't a Ranger. Never has been. Never will be. I wanted him to be, but he's not. Goodbye. ( Prove me wrong. )
The great thing about tonight is that MH showed he is willing to take Barton off. Can you imagine what that will do to his ego. Let's face it, he was under-performing on the pitch all season while talking sh**e non-stop off it. I'm sure Adel woke up this morning with a big smile on his face too. Barton has now being taken down a notch or two. That's great news. He might now slowly realise that he is not bigger than our club. Even if he does start on Sat he will have to significently up his performance or face the embarrassment of being taken off again. I think that this could be a major plus for us over the coming weeks.SWP might have to warm the bench for a few weeks as well.
It's not his form that's the problem. Sometimes he plays well. It's his overall effect on the team, especially as captain. I think he's a bad influence who doesn't allow others to shine and feel confident. How many rubbish free kicks and corners can he take before he'll let someone else take them for example?
Yappy "Running like the pheasant In full flight from the gunfire of the lads , A fried chicken wing from KFC, You're dancing gayer, gayer and gayer. I love Chelsea " You are clealy using "gay" as some kind of cretinous insult. Are you a homophobe Yappy? Do you know what homophobe means? If you are could you please keep your moronic opinions to yourself? If you aren't, grow a brain.
Booing Barton seemed to contribute to his passing getting worse - booing and jeering is not not productive for anyone in the squad or the coaching staff, or the owners!.
As ever the view from Norway seems to push things into a strange perspective. Barton must have played a dozen poor passes before the booing started. Believe me it really could NOT have gotten any worse afterwards. I never boo players on the pitch but I fully understand the frustration of those who did. Thank God MH finally had the balls to take an action - and what a difference it made. Barton isn't fit to lace Jamie Mackie's boots. Joey, you are the weakest link. Goodbye.
