. league fixtures moved due to Europa involvement Five fixtures involving Swansea City have been moved back due to the clubâs involvement in the Group Stages of the Europa League. The new dates for the fixtures are: Crystal Palace (away): Sunday, September 22 â 1.30pm. Southampton (away): Sunday, October 6 â 1.30pm. West Ham (home): Sunday, October 27 â 4pm. Stoke City (home): Sunday, November 10 â 4.10pm. Norwich City (away): Sunday, December 15 â kick-off TBC (god forbid this is a 1-30 KO )
The reason why the away games are 1.30 is because the home team has the final say so on the kick off times. The Swans asked West Brom for a 4pm kick off because of the European fixture but being a bunch of tossers they refused and wanted the 1.30 kick off in the hope it would give them an advantage hoping out players were tired after the trip home from Romania. It's the same reason why the home games are 4pm because we get the final say. All we can do is hope that Norwich don't act like a bunch of knobs and consider the travelling for our fans as well as the players. We usually leave the Liberty at 6am for the Norwich trip for a 3pm kick off and get home about 11.30pm, if its 1.30 we'll be leaving at 4.30am. The last game is against Man City and that's away too, lets hope they show some understanding because they know what it's like playing in Europe
We'll find out when we see what Norwich and Man City decide to do. They are playing a home game on the Wednesday before it but the problem is that on the Tuesday after (3rd Dec) they are away at West Brom and we are home to Newcastle. If common sense prevails the Tuesday fixtures should be moved otherwise we could be playing Valencia on the Thursday, Man City on the Saturday and then Newcastle on the Tuesday. 3 games in 7 days is bad enough but 3 in 6 is madness. Lets just hope Man City is Sunday and then Newcastle on the Wednesday
I have been told this morning by a Man City supporting friend that they are more than happy to play sunday at 4pm because they know what its like to play in Europe. It's now up to the Premier League now to ratify the date and time
Being selfish for a second it's the Fulham game I'm concerned about on 23rd November. Got a nice weekend planned
