Based on what? Only one has had any sort of positive impact in the Premier Legaue and he was sold because he was too old.
If, if, if... If Watford hadn't lost the plot on final day you wouldn't have got promoted at all (and if by that do I think you got lucky then - yes). We'd have done you in the play-offs like we did in the league. Yes, I'm sure you have three or four decent players but not enough. You will have to sign a Hell of a lot to stay up. Or you may get lucky on final day again, who knows? Good luck to you anyway. I'm looking forward to your little adventure...
I'll rephrase that for you: "Leicester were favourites because people were backing them". I'm sure there would have been a fair few neutrals that fancied our chances, even if it was based on our previous spending.
Watford's transfer embargo ends on 31 Aug. Even beofre that though, they can sign players with prior permission from league officials. They may well make some of their loan signings permanent with permission. Others may be on loan until Jan. I'm sure they'll use their Italian scouts to sign players from other clubs besides Udinese too.
That was a quick 3 years - I thought the transfer embargo only started half way through this season?!
Their former owner, Laurence Bassini, was banned from football for three years. The transfer embargo was only for six months.
OK, well lets keep it simple if you still can't accept their quality. Based on the fact that even without a consistent striker we accumulated 11 more points than you did this season. This is part of the problem for you Leicester fans. Each year you put your competitors down and build yourselves up. I know I've witnessed it. I clearly remember the ridiculous hype that spurted out of your mouths when Sven came in. Honestly it was embarrassing. You all looked very foolish when you all did U-turns and blamed Eriksson for all the woes 6 months later. Last Summer it happened again when your messiah came back and was going to walk this league. This Summer the same thing will happen yet again, probably when you sack Pearson and get O'Neill back in again. Until the people in charge start making good decisions instead of those that will simply placate the over-hyped expectations of the fans it will continue. We have been promoted this season and we've deserved it. If you cannot see that or congratulate us without some pathetic reference to how we will 'come straight back down' then clearly your attitude will be the same as in previous years and , unfortunately for you, so will be the result. Night, night.
What does that have to do with what I said? Did we have a consistent striker all season? Please, let me know who he is.
Among the twatishness here you actually make a good point. Some of our fans have indeed behaved liked that. But only because they're so desperate to see this club get back on track. Belittling other clubs? Not really. We knew it would be tough. But the threats this season haven't come from where we expected. Cardiff we did expect but Bolton, Blackburn, Wolves, Brum, Blackpool and Boro all flopped to varying degrees. Watford and Palace I still think have done well under dubious circumstances. Brighton have been mildly surprising. Hull on the other hand, have been a major surprise to me. I still can't quite believe it. Last time you went up, I called it, so it's no reflection on your club, just your current set-up. This is why I don't think you'll do much in the Prem. I may be wrong, no, I hope I'm wrong, as I always call for the underdog. But this is how I feel and there's no point in me sugar-coating it for you. I don't think our owners do anything to placate the fans (Pearson would be long gone by now if they did), nor has there really been any proof that they're particularly trigger-happy. But some of our fans could certainly do with more patience. So what would you see as a "good decision" Stovolos? Should our owners stick or twist? And please leave aside any personal feelings for Mr. Pearson before answering.
Unlucky today boys but Pearson has to go. Take Steve Walsh out of the equation and Pearson would be lucky to get a job in the Championship. The talent at his disposal should have seen you boys up this season but he's just not up to the job. As for today? You should have had a penalty for hand ball and Wood should never have been pulled back for being offside to go through one on one with Almunia. He was at least a yard on side. Saying that the penalty was a bit iffy to say the least. Probably see you next season
I don't understand how much of a surprise it is to so many of you that we went up? Chester ,Faye,Quinn,Myler,Elmo,Brady ,Koren and then the sublime Sone Aluko all managed by the massively experienced Steve Bruce where's the surprise in there??
Bullshit ..................Bookmakers set their "boards" odds before any bets are laid .How else can you take a price if there are no odds quoted.
If people were surprised it would be because of their lack of knowledge rather than us being lucky. The sad thing here is that these are inferring that the latter happened rather than the former. This is my point and why they will fail again next season. I guarantee the next thing they will bang on about how big a club they are and how they will take the top players of every other club at this level because of the amount of money they have. It's like Groundhog Day!
