When Allen came on last night we started playing much better. We looked more composed on the ball and started to pass it around much better. I have been very impressed with him and if he continues like this he's going to be a bargain signing and a very important player in our squad.

I'm also happy that we look like getting Sahin on a year long loan. This could pave the way to selling Adan and Spearing who are just not good enough for this club. The proceeds of these two sales should be used for Dempsey who's an established premier league goalscorer for the past two seasons.

Another rumour that has been reignited is talk of us signing Sturridge. We definitely need another striker and Sturridge has great potential and under Brendan Rodgers management I think he will thrive and become a better player.

What are your thoughts on the potential signings in and out of Liverpool before the transfer window closes?

happy we have Allen, made a dif when he came on.

hopefully with luck, we might have seen the last of Spearing and Adam in a red shirt, but i wont hold my breath!

still think we are short up top even if Carroll is staying, all our strikers seem to have caught the bug of hitting the damn woodwork,we need a finisher, but who don't know.

final third is our problem, don't think we have issues elsewhere myself.

Completely agree with this I just wish we would play to Suarez strengths of creating lots of chances by signing a goal poacher we desperately need one we do not score enough goals and Suarez misses 5-6 chances every game but it really isn't his fault as he isn't a finisher he's much better at assisting and creating chances.

Hope Carroll stays we need a plan B and he deserves a chance. Hopefully we bring in one more striker while getting rid of Adam and Spearing

He can pass the ball to another Liverpool player 9 times out of 10 so he is already an improvement. I'd like to see him use his passing ability further forward though. Closer to Gerrard and Suarez he gets the better. Never really understood the need for 2 midfielders to sit, especially against teams like west brom. I think Sahin on loan will be the last signing, we've got too many central midfielders though and I'd like to see at least 2 leave before the end of the window.

Would love Sturridge, but can't see it happening.

I completely agree. Neither Spearing or Adam are Liverpool quality. Brendan Rodgers in the creative midfield area needs technical/mobile players that can retain posession. There is however a need for Henderson, he's got bags of energy and his short passing is superb. I cannot for the life of me see a need for either Adam or Spearing.
Joe Allen is the stereotypical Brendan Rodgers midfielder, his passing range is superb, his ball retention skills are just as good, he's just a very good player.

Sturridge is selfish and has poor pass/shot selection. He's not the answer to LFC's striker problem, He's from the same mould as Kalou

Agreed. We need someone to finish chances and have a sense of where the goal is. A Jovetic type though that's not realistic.

I'm a fan, but of his potential. He is exactly what you say but with moments of being brilliant if someone can point him in the right direction then he could be a great player.

A Rush, a Rush, my kingdom for a Rush (or a Robbie) **** Sturridge he's a tit. We need a proper striker...one who'll run all day for the cause, harry defenders until they're sick and will slot 7 out of 10 chances...what we don't need is another bloody striker who cares more about their hair than their contribution to the team

As for JA...so far so good. However let's not judge him after coming on against a very tired Hearts team. Judge him at the end of the season. Hope he carries on from where he has started. Looks silky.

  11. So a Tevez, Rooney or Aguero type then? A player that runs constantly, closing down defenders but also know where the net is? TBH, that sort of describes both Borini and Suarez minus the goal scoring exploits <ok>

I would prefer a Klass Jan Hunterlaar type to go along with what we're got. I heard a rumour that Hunterlaar's dad's name was Hunter until he visited Liverpool.
