of diving/cheating have cropped up again (although quite frankly its probably said by every fan after most games) about us today. I wasn't there so have no idea if it is true but we probably want to be careful not to get that reputation again - particularly somebody like Forestieri as officials and other clubs will catch on and might give decisions against us we think are stonewall fouls etc.
I clearly wasn't there either, but I did listen to the commentary. At one point FF went down in a heap and the home fans started bleating. Jon Marks and Derek Payne said it was clear foul and went on to make the point that if they think it is a dive they will say so. I don't have any reason to disbelieve what they said as I clearly remember them saying at the beginning of last season that FF had to learn that he would not get the same treatment from refs that he might be used to. I think that some people will grasp at any straws.
Erm, I would say its all sour grapes. They were yards slower and compensated by trying to rip our shirts off and kicking us off the park.
Well they did have 3 players booked before half time so maybe they were rash in the tackles and if you fly in most players will try to take advantage...British or not British. Unfortunately as everyone in this country blames the diving culture on the overseas player we'll get it in the neck regardless. I bet no-one says Deeney or Doyley dives...
If I was being impartial I would say that FF was up to his old tricks today and in the end the ref was ignoring Watford players going down under challenges because he probably suspected play acting. But, if the BCFc fans want to talk about sportsmanship what about when the ball was kicked out after a Watford player went down heavily and the resulting thrown in to one of their own players where they nearly scored.........
