Alex Mcleish has left Forest by mutual consent. It's obviously to do with the complete mess that occurred at Forest on deadline day. Nigel must be favourite to replace him. I actually feel sorry for Mcleish - he was stabbed in the back by the owner who refused to sign his transfer targets.

Would like to see Nigel there- Forest have become my championship team. I've even got over them beating us in the Zeneth Delta Systems cup final. God thats a bad name for a competition.

Nigel is favourite for every Championship vacancy so I don't think it means anything. Forest, like Blackpool, probably aren't that tempting right now. Wonder what Sean O'Driscoll thinks.

I think Forest is a lot more tempting than Blackpool. They have money and the potential to get into the PL - a good stadium and fanbase. As long as Nigel says to the chairman if he is offered the job: "I want 100% control over transfers" and have that in writing I think he would take the job.

No chairman with a single brain cell to his name would ever give a manager 100% control over transfers. That way lies disaster and Harry Redknapp.

Ok well at least Adkins will demand the chairman not to pull the plug at the last minute for a no reason whatsoever.

Wasn't it because Boyd failed an eye test or something? Bit bizarre admittedly.

Forest don't deserve Nigel, especially with the joke owners they have picked up. Bide your time Nige, theres a good job out there somewhere.

Apparently it's an eye fault he has always had without it affecting his scoring.

To be honest that's no reason for pulling out of a signing. McLeish wanted him. If the owner wanted him he would have gone through with the transfer.

I know that's the reason they gave but I smell bullshit from the Forest owner.

    I agree .

A Mate at work is a massive forest fan ( saints are his second team ) and he has had major concerns with the current owners for a while , while they are in charge he hopes NA stays well clear .

The phrase "jumping from the frying pan into the fire" springs to mind.

Loads of the Forest fans naturally want Adkins, but know full well that he'd be guarded, given the circumstances. I think it would suit Nigel, as it's big and capable enough for his ambitions, and he'd get them promoted ASAP too. He and their chairman would have to make out the terms between them very clearly though.
