Yes he could be available for Wigan as long as its done before Friday midday. And no, once a player has been permanently signed he can play against anyone as long as he's not cup tied.
I can't see that his wage at 60k would be a stumbling block as Barton is on more than that and surely Alex is up there in terms of quality, if not better??
So much for the medical rumour then. Is it just me or do other clubs with money to spend tend to just get on with it?
