...has proved a solid signing. I'm really pleased for the guy, and pleased that all those moaning about SB bringing in his boy have shut up.

He's played well, and I haven't even seen him be sick yet.

    So happy.

    Agreed.

However I bet there would be a few that would slate him if it was him and not Chester who allowed the ball to go over his head for Henderson to score.

At the moment he is the best option in the back 3, as was seen when McShane came on for him and you almost expected him to make an error. Cooper gets the sympathy vote as a local lad, but seems to have burnt a bridge or two recently.

Hobbs will struggle to break into the defence when he regains fitness.

All of which are positives, actually.

He has played well, I don't understand why his Dad took him off yesterday, not to mention who he came off for.

Cos he was booked and a sending off might have given them unlikely hope.

Can't see why tws didn't play him now. Their defence was pants last season and Alex couldn't get in it. Mind i remember a couple Leeds fans when we signed him saying he should have played, and he looked very good when they had seen him play.

His challenge for the booking looked a bad one to me.

It looked two footed, and a lunge. Luckily didn't catch the player.

Silly and unnecessary. Still, that was the only blot.

Our defence seems to be rock solid at the moment! Hobbs to come back will only improve it IMO. That ball over the top from one wing to the other is the only weakness I can see when playing 3 at the back! If Chester hadn't got stuck underneath it the goal wouldn't have been scored. But on the other hand you only need to keep 3 players in a row when the playing the opposition offside instead of 4! Faye is immense in attack also.

He's done well so far, been solid and working well with the other two. Again yesterday he did well, lucky not to be sent off really and for my liking he missed a few headers when the ball when being played down the line, which is risky as Faye isn't the quickest and he had to cover for him.

I think however he isn't close to Chester/Faye/Hoobs standard and that will be an awesome back 3 when Jack is fit.

I knew Chester's error was bad in the ground but it looked even worse on the FLS. A cross from near the touchline has to be defended better than that. As you say FLG Alex Bruce would be hung out to dry for that on here.

Its nothing to do with his height its the fact he does get caught under a high ball. Same against Blackburn.

He copped one right in the face from Henderson too, fair play he had a go back at him though. Big dirty bastard Henderson, about the only one of theirs who had a go.

I wouldn't worry too much about Chesters error. It won't happen often, the boys class.

Didn't Bruce Sr. say in the post match that Alex had had a bit of a knee problem

Alex has done well the last two games.

I still don't think he's Chester/Faye/Hobbs standard as someone else said further up, but he's decent defender and I thoroughly enjoyed his John Terry-style face tackle in the first half. He has made some big mistakes but thankfully not in the last two games. As Chazz says, Chester has made a couple of errors too, but he gets more leeway on account of being ****ing awesome at everything else.

As the teams came out for the second half there was a stream of puke from his mouth, then when Quinn got fouled he was being sick again, you could see a big orange pile outside our box for most of the second half.

    He played well again yesterday.

My thoughts exactly. Thought the ref would have gone for the red tbh.

Looked two footed and he flew into it.

so far i don't think he has been as bad as some were predicting. However, yesterday he looked to be labouring a little from the start, certainly struggling to get off the ground and missing tackles on a couple of occasions. did someone (OLM) suggest he has a long standing back injury?

i wonder if paul robinson was hung out to dry by the millwall fans for simpson's goal? Incidentally, Henderson is the only Millwall player who i reckon could improve our squad. give him a little credit for getting off chester for his goal

Yes he has long term back injury - he took a knock in the first half which is why I think he was taken off (why else wood you choose to bring McShane on).

Whislt PMcS tries hard, his poor distribution was glaring.
Even more so now we have a balanced team who knock it about well!

So come on then, whats all this talk of AB and puke?
