Said at the time we should have moved him on because after two knees he'll surely never come back. Unfortunately its turned out to be true and that new contract has been a mistake.

An even bigger mistake would be to give Redknapp a two year extension before even seeing how he does this season.

As for Danny Simpson? Doesn't make sense to me.

When I saw that my heart dropped. Ale must be devastated to suffer a third cruciate ligament injury. Hard to see where he goes from here other than into an alternative football role. Shame to see such talent lost to the game. I don't think we ever really saw the best of him - I believed it was still to come.
AT - look on as a real talented professional who longs to play, and give his best, for the club is losing his career through no fault of his own. Make the best of what you have while you can!

Its very sad for the lad and having met him, he's a thoroughly nice chap. I wish him all the best.

I do think though that Tony is a bit too sentimental. After two cruciates he shouldn't have been signed up for another year. Nor hop-along Bobby.

Giving Redknapp a new deal already is more evidence of this IMO.

Unbelievably sad news....though as many have said not totally unexpected.

Leaves us even weaker in the midfield department than before so got to bring someone in......but who?

So sad for Ale, was a class player and class bloke.

Good luck to him in whatever / however he moves on in his career and life

Like everyone gutted for him and the club, real shame. Someone really needs to step up to the mark to replace him.

It might sound heartless but I thought the same at the time. Feel sorry for the guy but we must remember he has been paid well throughout this time. It is a real shame for him but we shouldn't go over board. Most of us would still probably swap places with him. Hopefully he will invest the money that he has accumulated wisely.

Extremely sad news for Ale and the club, especially since he really looked fit and ready to perform this season - gutted for him, such a nice bloke, definitely the right sort, a true R.

I was really looking forward to the possibility of seeing a partnership of Ale & Adel once again playing together this season.

I do not think it is fair to blame this injury on lower league opposition since regrettably he obviously has a weakness in the knees and this was likely just another accident waiting to happen - could have just as easily happened against Sunderland on Saturday, since they also have a number of quite robust players in the challenge (e.g. Lee Cattermole).

Really, really sad. Alejandro epitomizes everything that a QPR fan wants from a SooperHoop:

    Courage
    Skill
    Decency
    A smile on his face

Never met him and just feel really sorry for him without even thinking yet of the loss he is to us as a club and team. I know he hasn't died but one just gets this horrible feeling that this young man's career has.
Swords - If ever there was one man to give in to sentimentally it was this man.

Spoke to him twice. The last time only a few weeks ago in Carton House where we spoke about the nice steaks and wine from Argentina.

He is a great player and a great person. Absolutely gutted for him. You will go a long way to find a nicer professional footballer. He is a true pro.

Well he's "fresh" enough that he was still only able to play 70 mins.
I said before the game that it'd be unwise to play him on a crappy lower league pitch, against a team of hyped-up physical cloggers.
    But Harry knows best.

Here we go again, how on earth can you possibly blame Ale's injury on Harry? Unbelievable!

Shouldn't have played him. It doesn't make sense to pick injury prone prize-assets away to Burton. But then the entire lineup didn't make sense either did it, so it's no great surprise.

You yourself have stated that he was only fit enough to play 70 minutes, so how do you get fully fit? Oh yes, you play games!

Play him on plush premier league pitches against fancy tippy tappy opposition! Play him against Spurs, say.
With respect to Burton I can't imagine their players are the most subtle in their methods.
Ale earned a place in that WHL lineup with his performance against Hull, and harry's crass sloppy team selection denied him that. He denied him the last premier league swansong that his rehabilitation efforts richly warranted. And now Faurlin will probably retire <ok>
