When did he join Radio Leicester? He's been talking sense that long it feels like forever!!

Has he done 2 seasons now?

 

I dunno, but its good to listen to him and Stringer, keeps Stringer from getting too over optimistic, and always has a positive attitude

 

he's exactly what i like in a co-commentator
speaks sense, gets excited but stays realistic, and has good chemistry with stringer
i would be less likely to listen in without the guy

 

I think they can both be really good commentators and also a couple of muppets. I do like them on the whole though. They certainly make it entertaining.

I think Youngy's only been doing it every week for the last season, he may have done it a few times in 2010 though.

 

Is it me or does he sound like one of the fishermen in the BBC trawlermen series

I've heard via a friend, and JA, that Alan said some pretty nasty, verging on xenophobic, remarks about El-Hadary. Something along the lines of "we shouldn't sign him because he's Egyptian, they play on sand and the only two decent clubs over there are Cairo and Tel Aviv...." Eh?!?! Whilst I enjoy his co-commentary with Stringer (although despised his lambasting of Ricardo), comments like this make me wonder whether we need such a blatently stupid, right-wing person providing regular comment and commentary....hmmm....
