Phil, currently on loan at City from Margate, missed Monday night's 1-0 defeat at Havant & Waterlooville to spend time with his family. City director of football Adie Britton explained: "Unfortunately Alan, his dad, is quite seriously ill. Phil told us on Friday but played [against Chelmsford] on Saturday and wasn't quite himself. We've been in touch over the last couple of days and some things are just more important than football. He wanted to be with his mum and we wish them as a family all the best." Get well soon Alan
