Unfortunately i couldn't make the game yesterday because of work commitments, so have a question to ask.

Was Al Fahim actually there, sat with the fans? and was he chased out of the ground? this sounds like bit of an April fools, and there is no confirmed reports only talk on forums.

If he was there what was the man thinking. Does he really expect to be accepted by the Pompey fans after what the club has been through, i know it wasn't his fault the position the club was in, but he did play his part on the road to administration.

Also the defeat yesterday must put an end to our slim playoff chances, but i'm happy i would definitely have taken a comfortable mid-table finish at the start of the season, lets hope we can keep most of this squad together and build on it for next season.

    Hi, welcome to not606!

I commented on this, last night, on BBC606. I wasn't at the game either, but I hold the position that, if Al Fahim wants to watch Pompey, then why shouldn't he?

It's sad, due to the violent nature of society in general, that we question his decision to do so.

If David Cameron/Al Fahim were sat next to me at FP, I would have plenty of questions for either, but I wouldn't dream of attacking either physically, just because, in my opinion, he's running/ran the country/club into the ground, and lied consistently on virtually every promise he made before the election/takeover.

What happened with Pompey in the last few years is just a reflection of everything that's wrong with 'the system'. The likes of Reagan and Thatcher de-regulated everything they could get their hands on and let the so called Masters of the Universe (bankers & speculators) play with OUR's and other peoples money like it was their personal casino. It was bound to collapse eventually. I'm no fan of Al Fahim & co, but the likes of Cameron make my blood boil. He works for the elite few, not for us. Rant over.

Maybe tomorrow's Snooze may be able to shed some light on the apparent issue?

I don't think Al Fahim should be at any Pompey matches :police: But if that's what he wants... up to him really <party>

I agree Jake with what you say. Freedom of choice. It was a daft decision though by Al Fahim to attend the game. After all, he must know the ill feelings towards him & Al Mirage from the club's supporters. Never the less, it should not have turned into any violent acts against him.

Mind you, the video footage of him running to his car in the car park would be intersting viewing. I have it on good account that he covered 100 yards in under 10 seconds :emoticon-0158-time:

It looks like he has forgiven the "errant" fans then, and bears no grudges........

Yeah it did. I was in the section next to the Reading family end, so the wrong side, but my housemate was right below the big tv screen and saw him. He said that he got a lot of abuse (in the form of chants) from most people near him. And that one moron tried to square up to him but the bodyguards sorted him out. Then I'm not sure what happened outside.

But I really can't figure out why he would voluntarily sit in with the pompey fans...he was asking for it, but what he got shouldnt have happened, as well as what happened between the reading and pompey fans at the end. If the stewards had even bothered to position themselves correctly between the two sets of fans that would have been avoided. But what a class act SC was at the end trying to cool it down. Kudos to that man!
